Oooooh, what a FUN shop! They have cool things like a compressed t-shirt packed into a tiny little cube, which kept my boyfriend entertained for ages while I got lost in all the wonderful organisational tools, like boxes and compartments suited for anything and everything. I do love to organise… They also have art supplies and clothing and tea pots and all kinds of other fun bits.

This a minimalist Japanese shop housing all kinds of things to cabinets and boxes, to clothes and pens. Personally I just go to buy the pens. They are cheap at £0.80 a pop last time I bought them. The pens are 0.38mm or 0.50mm, I only buy the thin 0.38 black ones they are great for writing with. I buy them in batches of 5 or 10. They are well worth it. I buy nothing else from there. The staff were friendly and commented on my buying so many pens, and I replied they are good for writing with. I recommend everybody go there for the pens.

Sorry, but I just don’t get Muji. It tries to deliver minimalist design at reasonable costs but everything seems so cheaply made. I feel if you sneeze everything will fall apart. Plus the clothes are, how can I say it, designed for the slightly less generous frame. Never ever bought anything here despite several visits.

While I agree with JohnW that I hardly every buy clothes here due to certain issues with the cut of those on offer, I do really like all their little containers, office supply and stuff. I hardly walk by without going inside.

Muji is a great store for affordable, sometimes cheap, stylish(in a minimalist way) fashion and household items. I particularly like their stationery items, and their storage items. I think Muji means no name or no brand in Japanese, but somehow they have become a brand in their own right. Design is always simple and functional but also very tasteful. The materials are primarily cardboard, plastic and paper. They also have some unusual very contemporary Christmas decorations.
