Not anything to sing praises about. Small local Indian restaurant. Felt new. The service was good. The child seat was unclean. The food was what made it meh. Both the veggie dishes tasted same. The daal was ok. This was a nothing to remember and fairly not good place. I suppose the folks around here may like a small neighborhood place.

So you get the best food from the best people. Vegetarian samosas that are so fresh the peas burst in your mouth – delicately wrapped and a delight. Chicken vindaloo is my absolute! I order it, often. The warm spices and full heat develop over layers. It is just perfect. The spinach dish gives another great flavour. My back-up dishes are the lamb madras and the bhaji. The yoghurt cucumber sauce is the bomb! They also do catering for your events too. They will work with any budget and create a delicious menu of culinary treats! The owners are exactly the kind of people you want to meet when you are on holiday. Or find out they are your neighbours. Always helpful, they will remember you and take care of you with each visit… and that level of service continues when you order takeaway too!

Ok but not the best India I’ve had, handy for Olympia and cheap.

Mr India was absolutely wonderful! Delicious food, friendly staff, great value, nice atmosphere. Look forward to making my way back next time I’m in town and in the area.

This curry house is fairly unassuming from the outside. Tucked away close to Kensington Olympia station it was perfect for a friends night out. Although it was a Friday night the restaurant was very quiet — great! Not great, actually. It seems all the locals are in the know and every man and their dog orders take-away on a Friday night — making our service very slow despite being one of the only tables in the place! That said, the food was delicious. We each had a Kingfisher beer to start and some poppadoms with various dips. Mains were fantastic — mine a king prawn korma was smooth and creamy with prawns the size of large sardines. Other options: sweet and sour duck was veeeeery sweet and rich, too rich for me but nice, nonetheless. A chicken balti, dahl and mixed meat dish were all delicious. When the bill came we were pleasantly surprised — £16.00 each including service was a bargain! Shame the service let it down somewhat, but I’d probably still try it another time.

Tired of dingy, oily curry houses? Don’t want to sell-out to the more modern but far less appealing food of the modern establishments? Mr India strikes the balance with chefs that prepare truly traditional, authentic Indian but a restaurant that is clean, modern and well-lit! Mr India is certainly worth a visit next time you are in the mood for a curry it won’t disappoint!
