Had a nice little drink in here over the last couple of nights. It’s a bit dive bar but it’s friendly, welcoming and cheap! Pint of Fosters and a Bacardi & Coke for £6.95. That’s good for London. The staff were nice enough and the locals we spoke to were fine. Last night we shared an outside table with a couple of German girls and had a nice chat about the differences between our two countries and cultures. I liked this pub and would go back if in that area again.

Staffs are really unfriendly to non white people. It was the first time to experience discrimination in London.

This place was about a 5 minute walk from the flat the husband and I were staying at while in London, so we decided to give it ago. From what I can recall, we were quite pleased from the very beginning down to the very end of our visit to Millers. I took a picture next to the tiny sink in the bathroom, and have since shown it to all my friends and family… But no one seems as enthralled by the phenomenon of the tiny British sink as I am. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with it, but it’s different. Kind of like chips being called crisps, and fries being called chips. And the whole biscuit thing. Anyway, let’s forget about the tiny sinks for a minute. The bartender here was quite friendly and helpful, suggesting a chip shop nearby for late night food as they don’t serve any here. I also believe I had my first taste of a drink called«Malibu Pineapple» at Miller… Which, as it turns out, has been a thing longer than my drinking has been a thing… And I was confused as to why I hadn’t been introduced to it long before my honeymoon. It’s just Malibu rum and pineapple juice. Fancy that. Other than that, this place was just a bar, cut and dry. If you’re not looking for something ritzy, and your flat happens to be a 5 minute walk from here, this is a solid choice.

This place is pretty dingy, but that’s what I like. Came in here to watch the Champions League and found it to be an unpretentious gem. It is small and not particularly fancy but a pint of Kronenburg costs £3.50, that is a bargain(try the fellow round the corner for the opposite). They had three screens showing the football and put a different game on one for some visiting Romans, which might sound unimpressive but I know plenty of places that rule their remote with an unbending hand. It’s tough to get to the bar cause people are hanging out around it but there were plenty of staff working and they were friendly enough. This isn’t a stand out place but it does what a pub should and proves that overpricing can be avoided! If you want a bowl of olives to go with your craft beer then this is not the place for you. If you want a common lager at a reasonable price point then come on down, I will be propping the bar up!

Came here during the Karaōke night while traveling & staying near King’s Cross. The beer is well priced, the crowd is relatively welcoming though do not try to come with a large group of foreigners — in front of us we saw 2 pub crawl groups get turned away, which makes sense given this place isn’t huge and was already packed. The DJ was quite good and everyone singing karaōke was quite decent which is a contrast to a lot of other karaōke bars where everyone who sings, does so out of tune… Have tried the Deuchar’s IPA here and it was delicious.

Stop #4 — King’s Cross Continuing our trek east, we were aiming for the Fellow at KX but unfortunately it wasn’t open this early on a Saturday(I reckon it was about noon). So around the corner most of the group went to a shady little pub called Millers. At first I thought they just sold Millers there but then I realised I wasn’t in a frat house and it was undoubtedly something else. So while everyone was busy boozing up, I jogged over to the McD’s(and I laugh now at the idea of exercise and McD’s being anywhere next to each other) for 20 chicken nuggets and several large fries. Crawling is tiring and we needed to keep the group’s energy up after all. Normally I’d say this place is 2 stars as it’s nice but a bit dodgy and nothing special. However, extra point is awarded to the bar staff for a) not yelling at me for bringing McD’s into the pub, and b) providing some good banter while a latecomer had to down two tequila shots and a dirty half pint. Overall, it’s not someplace I’d make an effort to get to but in the area it’s a easy place to stop and get your breath back. And then jog to McD’s. I crack myself up. Drink of choice: A half pint of watery lager in homage to Millers Genuine Draft.
