I came from Silicon Valley where the milk tea standard is like gin to London. This place did not meet the lowest of expectations. The line was ridiculously slow. The milk tea uses tea that’s been sitting there and powdered milk. Powdered. Come on. Boba was mediocre at best. I’ve had bad milk tea in the past, and this definitely is bottom of the barrel. Save yourself disappointment and go to Happy Lemon, Chatime, or Biju Milk Tea Room instead.

This branch is not as good as the Shoreditch branch. Although they offer the same options, this Central London branch is extremely tiny. Opening the door is difficult if even one other customer is inside. Of the two times I’ve been to this branch, both of the drinks I’ve ordered were bland and tasted as if they didn’t put any syrup in it at all. However, this branch of Milk Tea & Pearl is a decent option if you really need some bubble tea and can’t go to Shoreditch. It’s certainly better than many options out there, but this particular branch could use a bit of tweaking.

Really delicious bubble tea that uses fresh ingredients! No chalky milk teas here. The shop is absolutely tiny, but the service is outstanding. Bonus: a 2-for-1 Unilocal check-in offer! I wish I’d realized that Milk Tea & Pearl was here earlier. It’s so close to Oxford Street and a really excellent option for the price.

Lately I’ve been craving bubble tea on a daily basis — that tapioca goodness that pleasantly surprises you at every slurp. As my office is based off Charlotte Street, I’m lucky to be a hop, skip and jump away from Soho, Chinatown and various other foodie paradises. So, when doing a search on Unilocal for a spot to indulge in my latest fix, I was happy to see that there was a Milk Tea and Pearl(and a Unilocal check in deal if you bring a friend!) not too far from my office and around the corner from Regent Street Two things I learned: 1) Always take the barrista suggestions 2) Always go for half the sugar Why you ask? This was during one of our 80 degree days(sorry, British friends, I believe that’s high 20’s) and for whatever reason I always have classified these tasty pearls with a milky based tea. This was a bit heavier on the stomach than necessary for a hot summer day and the barista did suggest a fruitier tea for me to try. She also recommended putting in half the sugar as I mentioned the teas can sometimes be a bit too sweet — in watching this get made up close I realised how much sugar is actually placed inside(even with the half!) so I’m glad I opted for this option. The venue was much smaller than I anticipated — I ran out on a break and was glad I got a feel for this place before inviting a friend for a tea. Wouldn’t suggest coming here for a sit down as there is really no space. Otherwise, I can’t wait to try the Boxpark branch which is close to home and start getting more use out of my loyalty card! Three stars for now as it wasn’t the best milk tea — but I’m definitely willing to go and try another selection and review again!

Taro flavour all the way! I’m not going to re-iterate what all the other reviews have been saying. I just want to say that this place is great! Ever since I stumbled across this tucked away bubble tea gem last summer, my friends and I alway come here when the sun is shining or are just looking for a nice dessert drink. They have also opened a new store in Shoreditch, 58 Boxpark. I haven’t been yet, but its open weekends(wohoo!), and if its anything like the central london place it will be amazing! Make sure you pick up your loyalty cards guys and earn that yummy free bubble tea!

I’ve been a couple times when wowcher were offering a deal. On both occasions, the girl at the counter was very sweet and attentive to serving her customers(bonus star for customer service!) The drink itself was sweetened perfectly. I’ve tried a variety of flavours and they consistently quenched my craving. The pearls and jelly had just the right texture unlike a few bubble tea places in Soho and west end. This little gem is tucked away just off Regent Street(Noho), far from the tourist foot traffic. I really hope they keep getting enough customers to keep trading indefinitely.

Not too shabby milk tea(but I’m comparing with Ireland which only has one milk tea shop). Pearls were the perfect chewiness… milk tea was just a tad bit too sweet. Girl who made our milk tea was very cute and very nice — good service is always plus points in my book. If you check-in to the location on your Unilocal app you get buy 1 get 1 free deal! Woohoo! I do like this place better than Bubbleology.

Finally have found good bubble tea in London that tastes like something I would find in Vancouver, or even better, Taiwan where bubble tea was invented! Okay, it’s not *perfect*, but this is as close as it gets, I think. I got my standard(bit boring, I admit) lightly sweetened honey green tea with tapioca. The green jasmine tea was great! The green tea tasted just like it should. The tapioca could’ve done with a bit more cooking; the texture wasn’t the best it could’ve been. Price was reasonable for London(3.50 for a large cup). I’d totally go back if the craving hits!

Amazing! finally yummy bubble tea has arrived in London! I am from Seattle and have been craving bubble teas like there’s no tomorrow. none of those fake stuff from the other shops. Bubbleology is finally something decent, but they dare to charge nearly £4.00 or over £4 for a small/not filled all the way bubble teas. Thank you for keep a decent price range and I can actually taste tea and not powder crap.

i saw the self-explanatory shop sign from regent street and thought to myself, «no way! i must check this out…» this 5×10 shop has been open since november and somehow, to and from work, today was the first of many delights. i’m a plain jane kind of girl when it comes to my see — give it to me straight. just black tea with pearls. so not really sure the difference between a 4 star bbt and a 5 star bbt. i suppose the only thing i could fault them for is the business hours and the lack of marketing. but come now, let’s focus on tea. 300+ empty calories later, i’m a happy spring chick… who will have to jog this off later.

Cute and tiny bubble tea shop. Had a cold Assam Milk Tea which was pretty much perfect, delicious, strong tea flavour and they asked how sweet I wanted it(had full sweetness and it was definitely sweet but not too much) But the best thing about it was the pearls! Bouncy, chewy and really tasty! Also they have a loyalty card and the girl who served me was friendly and lovely.

Yay, a bubble tea shop near Oxford Circus ! This little shop is located next to Regent’s street, so you can pop in and quench your thirst~ The menu and the shop are quite small, but the Milk Tea is good, what else do we need? =) Too bad it is not open the week-ends, BUT you can get delivered a whole bunch of drinks ! Yes, our school has reach the ultimate bubble tea addiction, with weekly deliveries of dozens of Bubble tea from Milk Tea & Pearl. *happy.*
