Love this store. Everything was so darn beautiful. Staff was very nice… esp Mine(pronounced mee-nay) who provided excellent customer service. they were very welcoming and nice to my 1.5 yr old son as well, even though he was very rambunctious. They have a great selection of unique pieces but it is very very pricey. I would recommend price comparison with other local stores such as Selfridges if they carry the item you are looking for. I do love all of their clothes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories. I would recommend to friends!

Lovely clothing with kind staff, I was a bit underwhelmed with the men’s department as well and the amount of items within my size. Be this because they carry less of this size or because every woman of my measurements happened to go shopping this past week, I have no idea. Although it is a great shop, and organised very well, I found myself suddenly breezing through knowing I will not find anything that fit. Maybe next time will work more in my favour.

Matches is a very high end designer clothing shop in Marylebone. To be honest I was a bit underwhelmed by the men’s department. Sure they carry all the top high-end labels, but the selection of designer seemed no different than what you would find at a Harvey Nichol’s or a Selfridges(Gucci, Burberry, D&G etc). Not sure the value of coming here versus the larger department stores. Service was a bit pushy for my liking and seemed amiss at picking sizes. That said if you are very label conscious and want to avoid the masses at Oxford Street or Knightsbridge, Matches can be a welcome reprieve,

Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved designer clothes. unfortunately, she could only afford high street brands ;(until she discovered the website , started an account with something called WISHLIST all she could do is to compile all the clothes she fancies in this Wish List, regardless of the price. After all she is not paying anything, it is just a dream Every night the girl would check her wish list and dream about transforming this virtual wardrobe into a reality! all the clothes are expensive and unique– after saving she plucked up the courage to move some of the clothes on the wish list into the shopping basket! Still the total is painful So she decided to go to Matches on Marylebone High Street and try clothes on to decide if they look good on her and worth the hefty sums! In the store, unlike on the website, almost all items aren’t available in her size!!! myself: but I have them on my wishlist; online sales assistant: I am sorry they are sold out !!! so she was told — due to generous cut of the jeans and top– try 2 sizes smaller — they will fit !!! the girl was naïve and believed that losing 2 pounds could mean going down two dress sizes– the sales assistant said so !!! of course the fitting room results were disappointing ;-( I really wanted to but some nice expensive clothes from Matches but they don’t have my size. in store I am not that important– it is like telling me come back with your saved money when you are size zero, we might have your size them !! to be fair sales assistants were very helpful, it is just the stocking system that obviously has a problem at Matches — where you can find easily your size online but be entirely sold out in store !!

Matches is a designer-brand lover’s paradise. Wall to wall with more designers than any girl(or boy!) could dream of, it is always stocked with the latest designs — dresses, jackets, bags, and some amazing denim labels. With a great range of men’s labels to complement the women’s range, Matches remains on the forefront of current styles. Just expect the price tags to match.

Well if a shop is about selected designer items, I can’t say no. I can’t turn it down, walk by or just browse the windows. Imagine if you had the change, from all the designers and their catwalks shows there is, just pick what you liked. Well yeas I am most certainly going to go and see what Matches selected. In my books the Matches is a legend, even though now days the shop is a chain with several shops all over London and a well operated online business to support the stock turnover. I admire this particular shop that it is all about the show off pieces, just dresses after another and jumpers no where to be seen. The other day I discovered that the benefit of a chain is that if it something you are looking for is missing, there are other possibilities to get it. Like what happened was the kind sales assistant opened their web pages(the screen was on a wall) and we looked for it together. How cool is that!
