Im looking for fish n chips. Its mu last night in the city of fog(I don’t believe there is fog in London, my four days have been hot and cloudless)(just kidding, I’m sure there is). I went to Red Lion to grab dinner and some spirits, but the guy who owns it cools or manages the place said something about cutting his finger so no fish n chips. There’s fish, there’s chips, no fish n chips. So he says go to Maria’s, they have the best fish AND chips in town. We were surprised to see what Maria’s actually was, not much more than a dingy hole in the wall that looked like every other fish n chips n chicken n sausage joint in town. The men behind the counter spoke no English. For two orders of fish and chips and a cola, my total was near £11.50. Had we taken the prices into consideration, probably would have split one order, because they were so big and absolutely definitely big enough for two to finish. The meal wasn’t as amazing as it was talked up to be, the fish was good but the batter was a bit underdone and the chips, well they’re not french fries but that’s the Brits fault, not Maria’s.
