I’ve been a huge fan of Fabrizio ever since he served me my first Italian meal in London 5 years ago, at his original restaurant in Leather Lane. About 2 years ago, Fabrizio opened Luce e Limoni, a restaurant that focuses more explicitly on the cuisine of his native Sicily. I’ve eaten here about 6 – 8 times since, trying a range of the dishes and always leave content. Food wise, the stand out dishes are the hare ragout, red mullet pasta and the tuna and swordfish mains. The service is highly personable and they have a strong wine list. Luce e Limoni is perfect for a few types of occasions: business lunch or a mid week meal with your other half, or a close friend. Because the restaurant and surrounding area can be relatively quiet during the evening and on weekends, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for a 1st/2nd date, fun group dinner or the start to a fun Saturday night out with your other half. It knows what it is and executes on it very well. As long as you know what it is before arriving, you will hugely enjoy the experience.

Little cozy restaurant with delicious selection of Sicilian food. Came here with my friends on saturday, after 2 holidays in Sicily this summer… I couldn’t resist the temptation to eat some of the delicious things I tried over there here in London. the place is cozy, not many tables but not noisy at all. the menu is really good, has a lot of different things and to make a choice was really hard. I went for the«tortino di melanzane»(Roast aubergine with melting pecorino cheese, tomato and mint leaves) to share with my friends as a starter and found it very good. As a main I took the lobster spaghetti and was really satisfied. My friends took the«norma»(maccheroni with aubergine and ricotta cheese, a classical Sicilian dish) and they were good too. The wine list is quite comprehensive and it includes a lot of sicilian wines, not only the usual selection of italian wines you have in many places in London. Prices are in line with market, not supercheap but not crazy. The only disappointment is that they don’t accept American Express(if they did I would have given 5 stars)!
