Lombok

Lombok has some really nice furniture, and it is really great that it doesn’t seem to be just re-​hashing the style of every other furniture shop on Tottenham Court Road! It looks how English people expect «Eastern» style to look, rather than actual Eastern pieces — but I still quite like it.
As their furniture style is quite chunky, it doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the furniture in our flat (we seem to go for mid-​century Danish/​Swedish styles) BUT I still think this style could look nice if we had a bit more space. There is a very large basement in addition to the upstairs showroom, so it is worth venturing inside rather than just window shopping.
I have bought a few small items for finishing touches… I really like lots of their baskets for storage etc. Whenever I have bought anything, they get me to sit down as they put it through their system… it is not a particularly speedy process (and this is just for accessories or small items) so I have a feeling it would take quite a long time if you want to order large items of furniture! A Lombok opened up just around the corner from my house and I used to love going in to look around, it did not however, last very long, so now in order to get my Lombok fix I have to make a trip to Tottenham Court Road.
I absolutely love their rich, eastern dark wooden furniture. If it were not so expensive my bedroom would look like page 5 of their catalogue.
As well as stunning feature furniture they also sell cheaper pieces and accessories that you can easily slot into your own décor.
Lombok is in my eyes, a quality investment and one that you will never be disappointed with.
