Came here with a friend for lunch. Very cute small café with very friendly and approachable staff. I had a tuna melt jacket potato with a side of slaw. The jacket potato was very tasty albeit smothered by melted cheese over the top. The tuna mayo was delicious and garlicky just how I like it but my big issue with it was it came out mildly warm. The side of slaw was average, just cabbage with a slaw tasting mayo. Overall, it served its purpose and had really nice staff but I’m not sure I’d come back again.

Great place to grab a coffee and a quick bite to eat. Only problem that they don’t have a toilet… So if in need, you are forced to use a toilet in Starbucks, across the street. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. But food and coffee are excellent!!!

I had the full english breakfast from here and it was good. I don’t think english breakfast is that hard to put out, so I expected it to be good. I’m pretty sure they use the heinz beans though, which gives it a very preserved/canned taste. They use heinz beans a lot throughout the UK, but homemade beans would have been a nice touch. The real kicker to this place is the coffee and the nice, chill atmosphere. I got a cappuccino and a flat white I think and they were both so good! I would definitely come back for their coffee.

Cute small trendy café. Order at counter and they bring it to you. Good traditional British breakfast. Amazing cappuccinos.

Have been here almost everyday. With student discount I get a huge portion of filling and healthy breakfast plus coffee everyday for less than 5 pounds! The interior is decent and pleasant

BREAKFASTALLDAY, enough said. Started coming here before class to avoid dying from hunger and boredom. UCL students get 10% discount! Everything Ive had here have been tasty — from scrambled egg toast, protein box, coffee to jacked potatoes, grilled cheese and soup. Ingredients are fresh and the serving size is perfect. There is a rewards card for drinks — which are slightly more expensive than average. Service is generally friendly but hasty.

Tuna melt toastie done very well. Be sure to eat it quickly! Legit coffee and great atmosphere. Espresso was spot on. Wifi was a bit spotty for me but others were not having problems. Great alternative to the cookie cutter coffee shops and cafes around Tottenham Court. Really friendly staff. Jerk Chicken Hot Box also looks awesome!

I have only been for breakfast, but having tried that will be back at some point in the future for lunch. When a colleague asked for a suggestion for a location for a breakfast meeting I suggested here as I have wanted to try it for a while, and I am glad that I did. We had a really nice breakfast and it was quiet enough to have a meeting without bothering other patrons, for a small place there was a great selection — so something for everyone. I had avocado on toast which was really tasty and very filling. The wraps that they were selling were the most stuffed I have seen in a long time so very good value. I also had the fresh mint tea which was good and they had no problem refilling it as our meetings went on a bit, friendly helpful staff and I also like the upbeat décor. Can’t wait to try some of their other offerings!

Amazing! My number one place to go for breakfast or lunch. Very reasonably priced. Highlights. The garlic mushroom toastie is worth a trekking across London for. Quite frankly it’s amazing. Like heaven in your mouth. Any of the egg dishes for breakfast are amazing, my personal favourite is the classic eggs and salmon. Hearty, healthy, comfort food.

Pro: breakfast all day, prices, grilled cheese sandwiches The protein box is a lot of food and clutch for when you are craving good breakfast foods(eggs, sausage, etc) later than normal breakfast hours. They also have traditional English breakfast. Prices are reasonable. Less than 5 pounds for good and unique grilled cheese sandwiches. Con: closes mid afternoon, sometimes have to wait 10 – 15 min when it’s busy

Super tasty breakfast sandwiches. I had the sausage and egg with a side of baked beans and I was stuffed. Ambiance is great indoor with communal table or outdoor seating.

I came to LOAF to escape the pouring rain and I figure I might as well grab breakfast while I was here. I ordered the full english breakfast which was a ton of food. There were beans, mushrooms, bacon, eggs, bread, sausage, and a grilled tomato. The food came out piping hot and was great. Kind of hard to mess up a meal like this. Service was very friendly and the waitress/cashier always had a smile on her face. I started appreciating good service here in London because I found that most restaurants don’t really care about customer service since no one tips.

I go here all the time, it’s easily the best cup of coffee you’ll find at the northern end of TCR. They serve Allpress, have nice staff, often listen to The Cure on their iPod and do good breakfast. If you’re not dairy-shy and unafraid of a few calories for breakfast then give their Classic toasted sandwich with scrambled egg a go.

I’m ready to give 4 stars now. You can now have your pulled pork meal with mac and cheese. Mmmm. Also just had a really great experience. I got it as take out and it was so quick and friendly and I didn’t even have to ask for my NHS discount. I’d like more cabbage though. I’ll ask for more next time.

I’m here for a month in London and I eat here 2 – 4 times per week. The service is always extremely friendly and relatively fast. They have a good variety of toasties that I think are reasonably priced considering they are prepared fresh. My favorite is the pulled pork. They also serve what looks to be a very good breakfast. Highly recommend.

I happened upon LOAF just as it was getting started — The guy I perceive to be the owner seems to always be there during the morning — working with PR teams to promote particular items or overseeing staff/food — which makes the whole thing seem a bit more neighborhoody. The last time I was there it appeared to be for jerk chicken — which I haven’t yet gotten around to trying. In an area full of restaurants and lunch spots(Tottenham Court Road and around the corner from Charlotte Street, they certainly have their competition. I’ve only looked into this so far as a breakfast stop(as its between my bus stop and office) but with only«dirty» breakfast(as we call them at work) or porridge from EAT as the main options, I love coming in at the beginning of my day to grab some avocado, bacon and tomato on toast for under 4 quid.

I may have just eaten the most nutritiously empty meal of my life, but man was it good! We stopped in here to try something new for lunch, and while it looks like it’s a chain(as it’s wedged in between an Eat and a Gregg’s), it doesn’t appear to be one. After perusing the menu(they have breakfasts which sounded great and toasties that looked amazing when I saw them go by), I was torn between the jerk chicken plate, the pulled pork plate and the macaroni and cheese. Even though you can get a mac and cheese combo, I opted for just macaroni and cheese. But not just any mac and cheese: Bacon and Maple Syrup Mac and Cheese. Seriously whoever invented it is clearly a genius. The Mac and cheese was tasty(not the best I’ve had, but definitely creamy) and the bacon and maple topping was out of the world. I also snagged a bite of my friend’s jerk chicken and I was slightly disappointed that I didn’t go for the combo plate. Top it all off the mac and cheese and the combo plates clock in at a measly £5.95(the mac and cheese combo plate is just £6.95). And those prices are for the large plates. I’m pretty sure we all could have gotten away with the small plate for lunch. I felt a bit bloated after walking back to work. We’ll be back. I think I hear the pulled pork with mac and cheese calling my name…
