I’ve been to a couple of pop-up exhibitions at this place. It has just reopened as a permanent fixture as an art gallery during the day and private members lounge at night. I was lucky to be invited to a special event here and hope my application for membership will be accepted — they’re bound to be heavily oversubscribed at just £150 for annual membership! I hope the event was representative of the membership it will turn into, a lovely crowd of beautiful people from different walks of life and good range of ages. A glass of prosecco is similar to other establishments in Soho; apparently there will be food as well but we didn’t see anyone eating. What makes Lights of Soho special is the artwork. The neon and other light installations give the place a very happy glow, especially the basement has a very positive feel to it with fun pieces on white walls of several alcoves for varying levels of privacy — and not a whiff of damp! Fingers crossed and this won’t have been my last visit.
