Leon has never given me crap service, like EVER, and it’s not like they’re making up for anything because their fish finger wrap is super delicious. It’s a bit like a spiced up version of a fish finger sandwich which makes me feel a bit posh really, even if I am eating out the foil walking across London bridge.(You can even check out my instagram picture which made it onto the leon page, which in no way is this biasing my review…) Anyways, my card wasn’t working for them so they offered to give it to me for free until it started working, so I paid, but then they offered me a fully stamped loyalty card for a freebie when I pop in next time. Now that is friendly service! This is also my go-to place for a hangover cure– hello, mint steeper, cures all ailments, mainly alcohol related.

You know how much I heart Leon. Great chain! I had a lovely soup there tonight that was sweet potato and sage I think! The pecan pie was a bit average which I’m actually glad about… means I won’t get an out of control obsession with it! Leon forever.

Fast food done simple and healthy… love the concept, love the décor, love all of it… but the food was, frankly, a little… blah and the servings are very very small for what you pay. It’s not blah in a «Hi, I’m healthy and therefore not as tasty» sort of way. more of a «I am a chicken wrap that is devoid of spices or seasoning and taste like nothing» sort of way. Even a pinch of salt and pepper probably would have improved it. Will I go back? Under the right circumstances, sure thing. But I won’t be craving it.

I think this is possibly my favourite Leon branch of them all. We certainly had a fantastic time here for dinner. Simple, fresh, tasty food in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Ticks all the boxes. The sweet potato falafel must’ve floated down from heaven on a little love cloud. And the Super Salad just can’t be beat for freshness. Oh and it really does help when you get a nice little 40% voucher just for signing up for their mailing list… do it quick people, do it quick. I’m certainly going to be signing up with every email account I have access to — when it’s £13 for a dinner for TWO, who wouldn’t.

New favourite place for lunch near my new shiny office. FAST service, which is key in this neck of the woods. I imagined myself lining up for my entire lunch break, only to have to take back my food and eat it at my desk. Not so! I enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Superfood Salad today, and I feel righteous for being so healthy. The options mainly consist of assorted hot meals and salads, with random starters like hummus thrown in there for good measure. I’ll be sure to try the freshly squeezed juices too, since they look and sound yummy. See you tomorrow, Leon!

The restaurant with the secret loo. I suspect my experience with this Leon would have been different if I was there for lunch and not dinner. A mate and I were in the area and hungry for dinner, so we stopped here. At about 7:30pm it felt oddly deserted in Leon. Although the kitchen looked busy with take away orders, perhaps for the office buildings nearby. Service was friendly, but a bit amateur and haphazard. About midway through our meal the waiter came by unexpectedly and announced that the kitchen was closed and they couldn’t serve any hot meals. Then there was the visit to the loo, which was an event in itself. The waiter had to guide me under the counter(«mind your head!»), through the kitchen, down the stairs, through the underground hallway, past the food preparation table, by the food storage area, and through the Eurostar chunnel. Luckily for me, I’m good at holding it.

Leon is possibly the best lunchtime food I’ve come across in a long time. Their food is innovative, healthy and you get to eat it straight out of a cardboard box so it’s completely fuss free. I first went to the one in Spitafields Market, but I’m glad to know that there are a few dotted about London. The staff here are particularly lovely and I love calling in from the cold and having one of their seasonal specials. Today I had hearty meatballs, rice and salad, that also came with a pot of scrumptious hummus, a flat bread and a blackcurrant juice… all for £6.95! They try for mostly organic ingredients(the tasty rice definitely is) whilst they also try to source a lot of their ingredients locally and I know it’s a cliché, but you can really taste the difference. Absolutely everything on the menu is marked for specifics like ‘wheat free’, ‘dairy free’ and ‘gluten free’ so you know exactly what you’re eating. And even though you’re essentially eating out of a little brown box, you can also have a glass of wine or a cocktail from lunchtime onwards if you feel like jazzing a great hearty meal up a little.

You know what it’s like; you’re hungry on your lunch break and you’re fed up of the same tired old sandwiches on offer. I was in a mood like this when i stumbled across Leon. They display their tantalising menu in the window of their restaurants, and what a menu it is! Basically this is good food fast. They do amazing ‘main’ boxes, my favourite being sweet potato falafel served with brown rice and coleslaw. Its crunchy, tasty and feels healthy. They have an ever changing seasonal menu, which reassures that the food you’re eating is fresh. They offer an amazing harira soup in the Autumn packed full of chickpeas and spicy veggies, it’s more of a stew than a soup and really fills you up. When you consider the immense amount of crap food on offer and readily available to consumers, this is a welcomed change. Take a look at their website for other locations, they do a great porridge at breakfast too!
