Chicken was a little bit dry, other than that everything was super flavourful. The mint tea is fab and the sweet chilli sauce was perfect. I’d give it 4.5 if I could. Would def come again.

All I can say: Excellent, yummy, and friendly. every time I go with my wife and kids we enjoy the original food that takes you mile away to Morocco. I always order couscous and some time I mix from different dish, the shop keeper is very friendly, you really fill you are at his home with the Moroccan traditional carpets and decoration. last think ‘i usually do is to drink green tea with fresh mint. (don’t tell any one, some time i forget my wallet and he alway say don’t worry pay me next time) :)

Stopped in mid-afternoon for a coffee and ended up having a delicious Moroccan lunch. Had lamb on couscous with a side of spinach. Also Moroccan bread. Absolutely wonderful. And the coffee was ok too!

Had a wonderful late lunch here. The owner made us feel welcome and introduced us to Moroccan food with a wide range of dishes. From Lamb Tagine to beautifully-cooked fish with fresh bread(perfect for dipping) — every taste was a delight. And to top it all off, we both left stuffed and happy. Would recommend!

One of my favourite North London cafes. Excellent service, amazing value and delicious food & Moroccan tea. Vegetarian tagine is just £4 and is a huge amount of food.(Meat tagine is £6 and I am told it is similarly delicious.) Atmosphere is very casual and there is likely to be a gaggle of men watching a football match in the background don’t let that put you off; the staff are very friendly and will set you up with the wifi password if you ask. If you like good, unpretentious & authentic Moroccan food/tea, definitely check out Le Rif.

I’m impressed… by the friendliness of the owner, the tastiness of the food and by the overall down-to-earthness of this Moroccan restaurant. I’d bookmarked Le Rif a while back and when I was riding the bus along Seven Sisters Road towards Finsbury Park, I dimly remembered that there was this place that I’ve been meaning to check out. I quickly researched the whereabouts of this place and just a few minutes later I entered mini-Morocco. I had only a ten-quid note and so I made a deal with the owner to put together a nice selection for this money. And what a great selection that was: I had a meaty samoso as a starter, which was delicious, but lacked a little in crispiness.(I suspect it had been nuked.) As a main, I had a tagine of all sorts of delicious things: the owner said that since this was my first visit, he would put together a nice selection for me… the lamb was delightful and so tender it fell of the bone. The meatballs in a tomatoey sauce were also quite tasty and all the vegetable sides were spiced in that sweet-cinammony note. All in all, I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend coming by here!

What a gem of a place. The interior is comfortable, the food options are varied and cheap, and the staff are remarkably warm. My friend and I both had tagines(hers lamb, mine a combination of three of the day’s vegetarian options) and dessert, and the bill came to a total of 11 pounds. If you order a tagine, be sure to ask for a bowl of hot pepper sauce to drizzle over it. Three stars for the food and an extra star for the terrific service.

I ate here a couple of times. It is a quite and chill place, good food and yes definitely a good deal. It worth to pass by just if you are in the area or looking for a good meal at lunch break.

Excellent moroccan place. Usually quiet with a few locals hanging about. Staff are incredibly friendly and not annoying. The gist here is to go for a tagine. Depending on the day you can find lovely meatballs, lamb shank, chicken… Add some lentils, spinach or a vegetable stew. Cous cous or rice. Amazing!!! Coffee is okay and there’s mint tea which i don’t like so no marks for that!!! There’s also fish and usually three or four vegetable options. The price is excellent: a meal for two with tea and a soft drink will be usually lower than 15quid
WOW. What an awesome cheap eat! They make all their dishes freshly daily! Just come in and chose two of 6 – 8 Moroccan dishes… I chose a fish dish with a side of green beans(gotta have your 5 a day). Then your chosen dishes are served to you over cous cous or rice, all warmed up in a nice tajine. SOGOOD! My husband and I were fed and full, and even topped it all off with a nice big pot of mint tea for less than £13! This place definitely has a comfortable atmosphere, full of usuals and plenty of seating. We will definitely be back!
