Le Cinnamon has a special place in my heart; I spent many an evening there with my late partner, and on other occasions we would order out and sit in front of the X Files with a delicious curry. The first thing to note is that the staff are extremely accommodating and are willing to customise most dishes for vegetarian or other requirements. We eventually gave up attempting to order the dosa, but on one occasion one of the waiters cooked my friend a dosa himself, on the house, because she looked so mournful when they said that they weren’t available! That said, the staff are also not afraid to advise customers on the best way to customise a dish. We once overheard one of the waiters flatly refusing to add more chillies because he insisted that it would ruin it, although he offered the customer some extra chillies on the side as a compromise. Secondly, despite being very reasonably priced, the menu is varied and interesting and as well as the old favourites it features some excellent unusual dishes. I particularly recommend the tarkatan(shredded lamb with peppers) and the korma avadhi. The mushroom rice is also unusually tasty. The restaurant is pleasantly furnished and has two main areas(I believe the rear can be booked as a function room), both of which feature a charming star-like ceiling light display which phases through different colours and twinkles gently. Le Cinnamon offers very good value for money, and my late partner also had their loyalty card which offered a discount for takeaways, although I suspect he may have been the only one!

I’ve been here a couple of times for different occasions. It’s lovely and small with modern décor and very pretty lights in the ceiling — like a starry night! The food is top quality — highly recommend having starters as they’re presented beautifully and not small on portions either. A real find — doesn’t look much from the outside — and indeed I didn’t even know it was an Indian for a long time. Highly recommended.

We ordered from these guys last night via a website. It was very easy and arrived in about 50 mins(which is how long they said it would take). I had a jardaloo murg korma which was tasty and creamy and the chicken was tender, we also had a madras(nice, spicy), mushrrom rice(mushroomy), peshwari nan(king of nans) and we went absolutely mad and ordered something extra. That something was a paneer pakora which I dribbled all over as I stuffed into my face. I loved it and could happiyly have eaten a huge portion of that for dinner. It came to about £15 in all and they threw in a bottle of Kingfisher for free. Certainly no complaints.
