I was working around the corner and initially heading for the petrol station for a nasty sandwich — no time to venture into Chiswick proper, or even as far as the nearest supermarket. What a nice surprise to spot a pretty coffee shop just two doors down. No contest, a fresh salad for lunch always beats a shrink wrapped sandwich! The café was teaming with yummy mummies and most of the lunch options had sold out. I would not normally opt for such a carb overkill, but both couscous salads and the pasta version were delicious.

Verdict: Yay in the morning! Pros: — Cosy. — Great coffee especially Lattes and Cappuccinos. — Accommodating Staff whom are pretty chatty and informal but never intrusive. — Price. — Cold pizza slices. Yeh that is a love of mine as breakfast food!!! — Sunny pavement/outside sitting area. Cons: — Perhaps a little understaffed thus slow judging how long it might take to clear a table on the pavement/outside sitting area. — Macarons.

Lovely little place for coffee… would have given 5 stars but there was a period around 6 months ago when the quality seemed to dip. I’m feeling good about it again now! Great coffee and I also really like their ham and cheese croissants.

My favourite coffee in London — just perfect everytime. I keep forgetting to ask what they brew. The bacon and cheese turnovers are to die for… and try the big florentines too!

Very good bread and baked goods with a number of benches outside and a few tables inside.

This review has been a long time coming. I’ve been visiting Laveli Bakery on a regular basis for about a year. At first, I loved it. The staff were kind and smiley. The wifi was good. I could usually find a table(at off-peak hours). It was nice. I would have totally given it 5 stars. Unfortunately, my love has dwindled over time. There has been some staff turnover and the new staff is nothing like the old staff. The new staff stand around and gossip when they are bored and kick you out 20 minutes before they are due to close and act like they can’t do anything about the wifi when you kindly ask them to reset the wireless router. This is unfortunate because it’s a really lovely bakery with great coffee and so-so food. Fix the staffing issue and Laveli Bakery would be top notch.

Originally a bakery in Acton, Laveli has now opened a bakery/coffee shop in Chiswick. I came here a lot in the summer because of the large, south facing, outside area, but the inside is very inviting too. Sitting on a corner, the inside is nice and bright and the décor has a country feel to it(lots of heavy wood). The staff is friendly and they have a good selection of pastries and bread to go with your coffee. Excellent for breakfast, lunch, or just a place to drop in and read the newspaper over a cup of coffee.
