As takeaway sushi joints go, Itsu is probably the best of them. Rice is decently vinegared and the fish usually seems pretty fresh.
Pro tip: Roll in a few minutes before 7:30 and you’ll snag the sushi and other food for half off. There’s usually other sushi vultures swooping in, so move quickly!

Ah, takeaway sushi. Rather than go back to the nearby Pret, my eye caught Itsu and I wandered in. A takeaway style location, though with lots of seating, Itsu’s focus is on bento-​box style sushi and salad. They also have a frozen yogurt machine and will cheerfully adorn your cup with assorted fruits and nuts. Yummy.
Located right across St. Mary’s Axe from the famous Gherkin building.
My three-​way salmon (see picture) was excellent and satisfied the sushi craving that I have had for a little while.
Excellent food. I will return.
