Very refreshing yogurt and mint drink and the best gormeh sabzi outside of Qom(lamb stew with kidney beans and spinach and lemon.) that’s my order every day on edgeware road especially if its cold and rainy like London.

We stopped and took carryout since we live in the US and finding Iranian food isn’t easy here. There was a ton of food. We ordered only one meal to share with three adults. We had already ate but we wanted to try. We took it back to our motel lobby to eat it and were shocked on the amount of food inside of the bag! Not sure if that was a normal serving or the workers were trying to be real nice to us since they knew what we were doing. I say workers but I’m not completely sure if they were not the owners of the place. The food was amazing. It is too bad we didn’t eat here for dinner verses where we did. I would highly recommend coming here if you are in the London area.

Came here for dinner with some colleagues last night as a last-minute decision. The seating was in the basement, so on we went downstairs. We ordered red wine, and a smattering of starters — baba ghannouj, hummus, and another item that was essentially eggplant & tomato sauce. They brought out fresh bread from their tandoor and the night began. For mains, I ordered the lamb curry with dried lime, eggplant, and lentils, along with basmati rice. Was it good? Yeah — it was good. Would I be back? Sure — I’ll be back. Maybe next time I’ll try something completely different!!!

Decent Iranian restaurant right on Edgware road, Iran Restaurant is easy to get to and open til the wee hours of the morning if you ever have a late night craving. While not the pinnacle of Persian cuisine, the food is tasty and gets the job done. The restaurant is not as crowded as some other ones in the area, which is good if you want to sit down immediately. Note though that because it is on a main street, you will have to pay a little more for the dishes. Atmosphere is typical, with some framed pictures of Iran and nothing screaming uniqueness. My favorite dish here is the Ghormeh Sabzi, followed by the kebabs. The freshly baked naan makes a great appetizer, but I find accompanying dips overpriced. Their menu is slightly out of date, and while it has what appears to be several veggie-friendly entries, my vegetarian friend found out the hard way that there is only one meat-less dish offered.
