Charrington Bowl has been a local favourite bowling spot for decades. In fact, it’s such a local institution that it’s still marketed as Charrington Bowl although it has been taken over by Hollywood Bowl. It sits in the shadow of the Tolworth Tower, just off the A3. It can be tricky to navigate to the car park as you can only get into it directly by travelling north on Kingston Road(Ewell bypass). By the way, don’t lose faith if you think you’ve missed it as you approach the big roundabout with the A3 — it’s located literally just before the roundabout. Just make sure you’re in the left hand lane. There are a good number of lanes but I would still advise to book at busy times. If your lane isn’t ready, you can amuse yourself at the food bar or with arcade games and pool. The lanes seem to be flatter than for example, the bowling alley at Sutton. A good choice of public bowling balls available. The best bowling experience in this local area.
