This is advertised as a 3-star hotel in priceline and travelocity, but the place is actually a residential house with several rooms converted into a «hotel». The room size is decent. The bathroom is very small. The shower stall is tiny; no room to move around, with black mildew(mold?) spots on the corners. There is a foaming soap dispenser in the shower stall, but somehow I doubt that that’s supposed to be used as a body soap. There’s also a hand-soap dispenser by the sink. Aside from those and the bathroom tissues, don’t expect any other bathroom supplies. You have to pay 10GBP to leave your bag with them if you happen to get there hours before check-in, or have to check-out but still want to walk around without carrying your bag with you. This was the first time I had to pay a «hotel» to leave my bags. Westfield mall is close by, it’s cheaper to leave it with their cloak service. The South Asian front desk person is very rude. Check out time is 1030am, we were about to leave at 1045am and he was literally by the door shooing us away like stray animals. I know we were late, but we are still guests. It didn’t feel like we were treated as guests.

I’ve stayed in lots of places in London over the years, good and bad and this one surprised me. It was a cheap last minute booking for a gig at the Shepherds Bush Empire(2 minutes walk away) so we weren’t expecting much to be fair. A little confusing as the hotel seems to be spread over 2 converted houses at opposite ends of a short street, but once we figured out where we were meant to be we found the place VERY clean, the chap behind the reception desk was happy, friendly, chatty, funny and incredibly helpful. The room(twin from with private bathroom) was adequate, little small but enough room for a couple of nights, the bathroom however was too small, a person on the larger side would have definitely had problems. It was however impeccably clean as was the room in general. Breakfast was included in the price, back over the road to the other building, not ideal, but it was a very nice freshly cooked to order breakfast. Full English, omelettes, toast, cereal. The works. The beds are lovely and comfortable but they could do with checking the heating from time to time though as I couldn’t sleep due to the room being so warm during the night.
