Although from the outside the ship looks impressive, once on board it all looks a bit old and tatty, especially the bar inside. The seating up the top isn’t bad — a few tables and a few sofas — with a lovely view down the Thames. The meat platter we ordered was quite big, with a nice salad and a good selection of meats. We got it through a groupon so value for money was good including a large jug of pimms which was also good, with plenty of fruit etc in. We went on a slightly windy day and you really could feel the boat moving — it made me feel seasick! A great idea but poorly executed. Doesn’t have the right vibe. I won’t be returning

Certainly in summer months this is a spectacular venue for some adult lemonade of an afternoon. I have a friend who has his office onboard, though I am not sure I could handle the gentle rocking of the boat whilst staring into a computer screen all day… but for a drink, superb! Highly recommend it.

This old ‘n’ oily war used oil tank ship is now waiting for you to come aboard and enjoy the ‘boat café’. With views overlooking the Oxo tower and beyond both in the east and west direction, this ship used to be a big party scene to the west end theatrical crowd including liberal minded souls that just wanted to party. Now catering to timid corporate & wedding functions, and conferences the Hms President 1918 is establishing a conservative approach to entertainment. After all they would not want to disturb the judges enjoying tonic in the neighbourhood. How very considerate! But let some fresh Thames breeze run through your hair and wave at tourist boat rides with a glass of wine in one hand. Its somewhat magical and personal. I almost forgot to mention at low tide mama duck takes her duckies for an adventurous paddling to the other side of the river. Visit the ship to make a day out for yourself with friends and family. Free entrance you only have to pay for drinks and snacks.
