With two cold platforms fenced in, a footbridge, a car park and a small booking office with a manned staff window there is nothing special about this station located in the nether land that is Hackbridge. A place famous for BedZed, a zero carbon emmision housing estate, trading estates and little else. The nearest bus stop is across the road from the station and links people to Morden on the London Underground system. Trains from here go to local locations such as Sutton, London Blackfriars, London Victoria, Clapham Junction, Mitcham Junction for trams to Croydon, Dorking, Wimbledon and Leatherhead. There are four trains per hour in each direction at off-peak and the station is managed by Southern Railway. It is in Zone four of London Travelcard zones and currently has oystercard readers which do not work.
