This food looks pretty good and not to expensive but IRL if u add up in all the extra costs(separate veg, rice and service) it’s not so cheap. The food is good but the service is horrible. The staff is rude, they make u pay for the more expensive food than the one u ordered. This restaurant employs simply too many people, they look at u like all the time. The worst, I find is that wen we asked for the bill they openly asked us to pay in cash in exchange of a reduction. They visibly fraud the tax system. Conclusion: good food, overpriced and worst service ever.

Incredible Indian food, awful service. We had a blast here as a group of friends and ate more than anyone should because it was so good. The staff there seems to care less if we ate there or not and I had to constantly say no to things they were suggesting. Sometimes it felt as if they were forcing us to order certain dishes and were not very helpful with rug vesting anything.

What a terrible place! Naan bread is definitely from Tesco. Soup looked like leftovers(with rice in the soup???). Main dish was beef — had ordered lamb. Summary: Terrible taste — go somewhere else

Service was fine, but the food was nothing special. We ordered a dish with prawns and were surprised to see the tiny kind used.

Great Indian restaurant in Covent garden. Large portions(fried rice and masala mutton, vegetarian selection.) The service could be improved. Worth the money.

Yummy! I am so glad I came to this place. We first went to Dashoon but saw the wait and how it was more of a tourist trap when we wanted the authentic Indian food in London experience. Came upon this place at the recommendation of the hairdresser next door to them. We were promptly greeted by the manger and sat quickly. As for the food we got the chicken pakora, it was delicious! A little dry but perfect with chutney added. The we got the balti chicken danask. The chicken was spicy sweet. The standout was the Aloo Goobi. Now I order Aloo Gobi at every Indian restaurant I go to and this was the best Aloo Gobi I gave ever tasted. I could have eaten 5 servings! The tip of 12.5% is added to the bill and please keep in mind if you serve yourself chutney from the table you will be charged 75 p per person.

Nice find. The food and service was good. Tables are awkwardly close together. Note… they sneak in a 12.5% service charge on the bill, so do not add a tip.

Always good food here, even if the seating is a bit on the tight side! Friendly staff, and a great place to get a curry. They even have a selection of beef dishes, which not all Indian restaurants have.

A recent trip to London, I was craving some great Indian food, we were told that there were some great one’s near Lechester Square. We were not disappointed. The food was really yummy, we had a very spicy Chicken Dish and a medium spicy lamb dish along with their special rice and garlic naan. It was all very tasty, the service was great and was not too expensive. We ate at a more pricy place upon our return at the end of our trip and it was way more expensive and the food was not as good. Oh well, we should have returned to Grand Indian! Next time ;)

If you like being insulted then this is place to go. I appreciate that this was late in the evening and was close to closing time. My partner an I were returning to our hotel after a concert. On entry to the restaurant the waiter checked with the owner who was sat in the corner, if was okay for us to come in. We were shown to our seats, and thrown a menu on the table. The waiter came straight over asking for our order, he didn’t listen to anything that was said. I had to repeat myself over and over again, that was just to order a drink, asking what we wanted to eat I was then told to hurry up whilst gesturing with his hand! After a brief exchange of words and the owner trying to justify that it was late, well if it was late simply say sorry we are closing. With attitudes like this I am amazed that this restaurant remains in business. I Would not go back to this place if it was the last Indian restaurant in London.

Went here as group of ten last night and was able to be seated immediately(the benefits of missing the pre-theatre time slot). The menu offered no new surprises; just the standard, if rather large, selection of all the usual Indian fare. We started off with the mandatory Papadums, which where perfectly crisp and non-greasy. The raita/chutney/lime pickle/onion salad was offered as standard, but all had the straight-out-the-jar taste really(try Gita’s Mango Cutney if you want to eat the best chutney I’ve ever tasted). The main courses, although perfectly palatabble, were at the same time rather disappointing. My chicken bhuna needed more sauce and the chicken was less than tender. That seemed to be the consensus from the rest of my fellow diners, although we all managed to clear our plates easily. The one outstanding item(although I did have to ask for it a few times) was the Peshwari naan… delicious! The service was attentive, which slightly made up for the rather dull interior and although the toilet was the size of a rabbit hutch it doesn’t appear to be as bad as the descriptions for their sister restaurant near Embankment. Summary: Best bit — Peshwari Naan Worst bit — Disappointing(bbut edible!) chicken bhuna Would I go again? Probably, but only if it was because I was with a group and couldn’t choose the restaurant.
