GBK es una cadena, lo cual me hacía sospechar al principio pero… ¡Me encantó!

5 stars for food, 2 stars for service. As I’m a big GBK fan, I’m almost always thrilled with the offerings. I have their app, which means we’re quite often able to get a free side or burger or somesuch(they rack up quite quickly). After walking a few miles along the Thames, the husband and I decided to stop for lunch at the Putney GBK. We were seated and the weird began. There’s a server/busser/employee here who was quite confused by his job. He kept bumping into people, knocking things over, and generally was just in the way of customers and other employees. As we were finishing our meal, he took our plates. This seems normal, except I was still eating from mine. He grabbed the plate as I was dipping a sweet potato fry in delicious«baconaise»(bacon aioli) and proceeded to have it knocked from my hand and land on my shirt. What the heck?!? Who takes a plate from a customer who is STILLEATING? Needless to say, I wasn’t pleased to have an oil-based spot on my shirt to have to deal with. Because the food was to the usual GBK standard, I’m still giving the Putney location 3 stars. But if we venture there again, I’ll be sure that the awful server isn’t working before we sit down.

For a chain, Gourmet Burger Kitchen really offers a good burger for a fair price. GBK is not the cheapest burger shop on the high street, but definitely one of the better ones. The branch in Putney is kind of small and can be busy at times, but usually you always find a place. I really like their chicken burger with camembert and cranberry — a combination I would love to find on more menus. You get to choose from a wide range of sides, including shoestring fries with rosemary or chunky skin-on chips. I like both, but would prefer to have chunky skin-on chips with rosemary. When you look for a quick burger, Gourmet Burger Kitchen is always an option to consider. In general, the quality is consistent, although some days the burgers are messier to eat than others.

We went to GBK for the first time in a while. This place works: the food is always good, the service with a smile. Both burgers were yummy. Teeny tiny wafer thin fries which may suit some, but annoy me as they have so little dipping potential! Milkshakes to die for — try the Oreo Cookie Malted… ahh a little taste of the US ‘o A. Wicked chilli sauces for those with a hot tooth — kiwi green chilli sauce from New Zealand anyone? Only problem is that a burger, sides and drinks for two is going to set you back around £35. So if you’re broke, you probably should just go to BK.

What with the recent upsurge in Burger places(led by Byron, but with a few one-off shops too, such as the Scene on Kings Road), I thought I’d swing by the local branch of one of the original ‘real burger’ chains to see how they compared. So-so, was my overall experience. The Oreo milkshake was good: not too much ice-cream, just plenty of ice-cold milk and chunks of Oreo cookie. The Mexican burger I ordered looked impressive but my enjoyment of it was delayed by the the bun, which had been burned in the efforts to toast it. The waitress handed me another half of the bun, but not before she insisted that that was how they ‘did it there’. Somehow, I doubt it — toasted, sure, burned, no. Back to the burger, only to discover the other half of the bun was burned too. Substitute another fresh half of bun and suddenly I could taste the burger: an imaginative filling of fresh avocado and beans, but the burger was for my taste at least, slightly overdone. So. I’d be back for their milkshakes. I prefer Bryon’s burgers, but GBK’s better range of burgers could see me returning there at some point too.

A good standard of burger, I take mine plain with bacon and it rarely disappoints. The chocolate milk shake is another winner and they operate a loyalty card scheme that returns a fair pay off if you remember it!

Went here tonight for dinner. Ordered a Kiwiburger, Chicken/Camembert/Cranberry burger and fries with dips. Food was pretty good, albeit a bit pricey at £8.95 for the kiwiburger. Service was lacking slightly, with the staff seeming a bit apathetic about your presence. But overall a pretty decent takeway.

Went to GBK a few weeks ago with the family. Had a bad experience which can happen anywhere so took the time to leave feedback online. Didn’t get back to me, so now spreading the word. Give someone good service, they might tell a few friends Give them bad service, they’ll tell everyone!

I’ve eaten at many of the Gourmet Burger Kitchens over the last few years, and I fear the quality is starting to slip as the chain starts to work towards world domination. At their best they can be fantastic, but as they say, it just«ain’t the same anymore.»

Awesome! The burger I had at GBK was excellent and huge! I ordered mine with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, chilli mayo and topped it all with a fried egg! Also got an order of fries with garlic mayo and a Coke. Best meal I’ve ever had in the UK and will definitely go back!!!

This is part of the gourmet burger kitchen chain and is located just off putney high street. With a pre pay system where you have to go up to the counter to order, it is a great place for a quick meal that is really tasty. They have great selection of new zealand beers that are really good, andthe food menu always leave me completely confused as I always want so many things on it. They have a good selection of veggie burgers(something they only just started doing) too. I personnally would highly recommend the bacon avacodo burger. The main downfall of this place is its price — it is a little expensive for a burger, and they dont come with anything, so you have to pay for extras such as sauces, chips, salad etc. But there is always 2 for 1 deals on, so alwatys have a look on the internet for a voucher before you go. The putmney venue is a really good one, with nice staff and a good layout inside, and there is ararely a queue here, something there always seems to be at other GBKs.

I love Gourmet Burger Kitchen. It’s not cheap for burgers, but they’re so good you don’t mind. The range is impressive, with all types of beef, chicken and veggie burgers, and the chips are good too. I also love the milkshakes, which are served in freezing metal cups which contain enough for 3 servings. It’s top quality fast food, and I always choose it when I’m in the area.

Fantastic, I love the GBK product and visit often to stock up on a good burger. I will be bribed in to doing anything for the chance to get my hands on the Jamaican with that mango Sauce… Hmmm I love it. I know a burger is a burger but these guy’s really take it to another level. Comfortable and relaxing whilst clean and simple, the open plan kitchens put out the intoxicating smell of all those spices and flavours. Ingredients are only the best and all burgers are 100% Scottish !! Welcoming to all — including children, make a date with the best burgers in town, you have no excuse. Also check out the specials offers — currently offering a two for one deal.

What a lovely place to grab a bite. This is a chain but there is a marked difference in the service you get at the different GBK branches and Putney’s should be the flag-ship store. Burgers to bring tears to your eyes, intelligent staff and brilliant service. There is always a queue here which gives you an idea of the popularity and good service meaning customers return. Don’t let the queue put you off as it moves quickly and staff are always doing their best to get you seated pronto. The portion you’ll receive on your plate is just perfect — definitely leaning toward the generous without being super-sized. Quality ingredients and a good range of side orders to choose from make this a good meal out that is very reasonable on the pocket.

Easily the best burgers in London. Very filling — so go on an empty stomach. Not the kind of place to go if you want a sit down meal, but if you’re after something reasonably cheap and quick I’d highly recommend it!

Went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It’s a place where you can order your drinks via the waiting staff, but you pick your food and order and pay at the counter. Fantastic selection of burgers and toppings and the burgers were really nice — very filling too. Do a nice selection of wines, beers and milkshakes etc too. Not much of an atmosphere, but if you enjoy a nice burger, it’s not too badly priced and it’s quick.
