Gourmet Burger Kitchen

So sick of fish and chips, settled on burgers after 4 days. Got our fill of burgers, fries and even corn on the cob. The burgers were surprisingly good and the place was not too busy. I think I inhaled 1.5 burgers plus fries.

Great burgers & fries both to eat in or take out. Especially enjoyed the Italian style chicken burger. We have both eat in and take out several times and been pleased with all our choices for a quick, casual meal or take out, this is a great option.

Decent burger. We dined on a Monday at lunch. It was very quiet so quick service. Quality was good. Solid burger, nothing amazing

I love most GBK for lunch.
I had their lunchtime special, which is a cheese burger and chips for £6.95. I always ask for the thick chips… far better than the really skinny ones.
The interior is relaxing, spacious and friendly. The lighting a soft and calm.
Quite often I get a great book and spend my lunch time in a quiet corner, taking time out of the world for an hour.
I would not suggest GBK for dates or parties, though I would completely suggest GBK for groups of friends, business meetings… or just for a solo lunch :-)

Great restaurant, delicious food, very helpful staff really go for the extra mile to help customer. Definitely coming back.

It’s the same fabulous flavours of other GBK branches but this one, particularly at weekends, lacks the atmosphere of many others.
It’s a bit out of the way compared to many of the other places in the area and there isn’t much to look at outside (though it does have a novel window-​facing seating area for people nipping out for a quick burger while at work I guess)…
Service is friendly but the bottles of water that are available in other branches seemed to be missing here (though there were still free nuts)!
It’s still probably the best burger in the area though and the service is super friendly :)

The burgers are as good as they come, and we are from America.
My son had a Jr. Blitzen burger with salad and a Nutella shake… he loved it, the salad was fresh, and the Nutella shake was «awesome» — as my son said.
I had the American 6 oz. with skinny fries… cooked perfectly as ordered, skinny fries were excellent and crisp…
Service was good. Why not 5 stars… Well, it was our first day in London, and we are not quite over the shocking cost of basic meals here… the check was $ 26 USD!
We’re going back though, because the Pizza Express across the street was $ 52 USD for a small pizza, a cheese bread appetizer, a bottle of sparkling water and one glass of poor quality red wine!
Caveat Emptor!

An excellent range of burgers. I very much wanted at least 3 of the options, but had to be sensible! My Habenero variant had a very pleasant, if gentler than anticipated, kick to it so I was content with my selection.
The sweet potatoe fries were disappointingly puny considering the price, but the onion rings were far better!

Visiting from the US and this place was near our hotel. The food came out fast. You pay at the bar. The burger and sweet potato fries were wonderful. I had a avocado bacon burger. Will return. The view is to the street. Cute place.

Went at lunch time looking forward to a great burger and chips. Loud, rude staff, extremely greasy and awful, bugers. Apalling service. Worst burgers I’ve eaten in London. Other branches are much better. This is the branch in spitalfields, London

A burger bar for people that would like a Chenin Blanc with their beef patty.
Unusually this place delivers. If you are within about five minutes walking distance a waiter will scurry off to you with a paper bag full of your choice of burger, fries and sauces.
I’m not 100% sure what I think of GBK. Somehow I seem to leave having spent what seems like far too much for a burger and chips and I have had a lot better burgers for less.
A GBK like every other GBK really.

I stumbled upon this restaurant after my morning at the Tower of London and I was starving. My other options were cheap diner food, Subway or this. I opted for this. It may be a chain, but at least it’s not an American chain I eat at every week (like Subway).
The name basically explains it all. It’s a step above McDonald’s, but it’s still casual. Most burgers are in the 7 – 8 pound range — chicken and veggie options also available. I think I had the Blue Cheese burger. Order at the counter, then food delivered to the table.
There’s really nothing extraordinary about this restaurant, but it was a tasty lunch.

I have been in this branch of Gourmet Burger Kitchen several times and always have had a very good experience. After choosing the food you have to order at the counter and soon you receive it at your table.
The selection of burgers is very good and you can choose from the usual ones to other less common like buffalo burger or venison burger. There is a good selection of vegetarian ones too.
The hamburgers are pretty big and if you accompany it with a side order like chips you can have a complete meal. The quality of the food is very good and they taste really nice.
The price is OK, more expensive that other burger joins but with a higher quality.

Gourmet burger kitchen is not a new venture for the UK but it is for many places as it expands. What we found was a great burger place that we have returned to since and will again.
You will be seated and the menu has burger upon burger upon burger which is what you expect really. You can choose from plain burgers to chicken satay and salads and there are vegetarian options available. The prices for all of these differ from £4.50 — 12 depending on what you have on your burger and with it.
The actual food is delicious and although they are a little expensive you do feel like you are getting value for money which is good. The food is presented nicely and cooked fresh so you do not get that horrible eating processed food feeling.
Then for drinks you can have soft drinks, hot drinks, milkshakes, wine or beer so a good selection really considering where you are. The prices for these are around the £2 mark most of the time so not bad at all.
I think with the gourmet burger kitchen they really do take pride in the burgers they are feeding you so you feel like you are getting some good service.
Every time I have been there I have had a good experience and I think it is a good quality place to have some food. The staff are always very pleasant although they are busy which is nice and you seem to get looked after properly. The food is yummy and I will definitely be going there again.
I recommend to all.

Me and my work colleague usually go to this place when they offer the ‘2−4−1′ voucher. Its a little cramped and it is always busy! Especially busy on a Friday lunchtime!
It is expensive but the selection of burgers is amazing. Tastes fresh every time.
Staff are very friendly.
