I’ve been searching for a particular wheeled duffel for our marathon year of world travel in 2013. While I pride myself on my ability to pack for a four-day trip in a carry-on, I don’t think my trusty B-Lite Samsonite will cut it for ten days in Jordan, a ski trip to the Dolomites, and a round-the-world trip with stops in HK, Tokyo, Hawaii, Napa, and Chicago. So, I went on the Samsonite website and looked for a few locations. The first two dealers told me the model I was looking for was sold out, and even the websites were back ordered. Lame. Third call: Global Luggage. I asked if they had it in stock, and sure enough, they did. And then – and I mean, this is where it gets truly above-and-beyond the usual British customer service – the guy asks if I wanted him to ship it to me next-day delivery. I said not to bother, I could just go to the store and pick it up. He then proceeded to tell me that next-day delivery is free – FREE! I did a happy dance and told him to put that baby in the post. 8.45am next morning, UPS delivers it to my door – no extra cost. FREE! I love that word. I love Global Luggage!
