One of my favorite coffee shops chains in London. Their pastries and sandwiches are usually very nice. The carrot cake is normally my favorite although unfortunately was disappointing on the last two visits because it was dry

Cute place, enticing selection of savories and sweets, hot drinks done well — popular for good reason! Stopped in for an impromptu brunch on Sunday — quite popular, all tables occupied, but also fair amount of turn over so sat down pretty quickly. The whole time we brunched there was a constant parade of people coming into the shop to pick something up. The food really advertises itself! I had a hot chocolate and goat cheese & leek quiche(served with arugula/rocket salad & lemony dressing). High marks for both — properly chocolatey(though not very creamy) hot chocolate; absolutely wonderful quiche with flavorful ingredients. Not the cheapest, but worthwhile. My brunch mate had a cappuccino which was apparently nicely done, and a plain scone(toasted) with jam and butter… a shame that they had run out of clotted cream! Finally I grabbed a loaf of sunflower seed bread on my way out. I’ve been enjoying it the last couple of days — wholesome, tasty, perfect sized, not over-priced. Somehow tastes like it’s missing salt though? Overall a nice experience, would definitely pop back in to try a sandwich or cake :)

I’m not really a sweet guy, I mean yes, I believe I’m a sweet guy(at least I try my best) — I just prefer salty food than huge sugary tarts, or pastries, or cupcakes. Temporarely living in Fulham, it’s been a few times now that I pass in front of this 8 week-old Gails branch, and seriously, I swear this chocolate-almond-croissant was staring at me, saying somehting like«grab me, buy me, I’m all yours…» so what could I do? I looked around, no one, so I bought it, grabbed it, it was mine ! A chain? Like I said, I’m new in town, this was my first encounter with a Gails ever… and…well, I mean, if all the chains were like this… People around me looked delighted in front of their breakfast/lunch, and service was amazingly polite. The croissant turned out to be as expected, deliciozo. I went back to buy a bread, and something tells me I might be back soon to sit down and give myself a sweet treat ! #easilysold

This is a charming, casual place with fresh food and good coffee. I tried the eggs with cornbread and avocado salsa, which was delicious. It was packed on a Thursday at 11am so I imagine it’s not always easy to get a table but once you do it’s very enjoyable. I would definitely return.

Excellent coffee and good service but really noisy I am afraid. Perhaps it is the low ceiling but couldn’t keep up with the conversation due to the noise. The toast of the day was great and my cappuccino even better. Will come come back on a quieter day!

This place looked really intriguing from the outside and everything looked super smart when I wandered in. I picked up a florentine muffin and only after I paid, did I notice that there were flies hanging around the cupcakes. I told myself that the item I’d picked up was covered so I’d be ok… Unfortunately it didn’t taste very good. The spinach was really chewy and it was cold in the middle(in fact they didn’t even offer to warm it — I had to ask as I was about to leave if they could do that for me). Won’t come back, sorry :(
