Great baked treats — avoid if you’re on a diet! The coffee here is good. It is quick, smooth and not too strong. The latte is more like an Australian cappuccino but still yummy. The croissants are really fresh and my hubby says the sausage rolls are to die for(I don’t eat pork). This is also a great place to grab a coffee and do some work if you’re a freelancer, as there is free WiFi and plenty of tables to sit at out the back. I would recommend mid week for this though as it gets really busy at the weekend. Shout out to the carrot cake… delicious cream cheese icing layered in a beautifully square slice… great for the obsessive compulsive in me.

I don’t love the meals and the service is pretty nonchalant but they do do incredible sausage rolls and cheese scones.

We went to Gail’s just because of the window display. We wanted to get a quick treat. They have a wide(and delicious) variety of treats & good eats. We decided to choose the cheesecake, only because it would be less messy during our errands. The services was friendly. We noticed they had a sitting area in the back, it’s a nice place to relax & enjoy something special for yourself. I am definitely coming back here before I leave. I’ll try the quiche muffins.

Great brunch that is served until 3pm on weekends. Favourites are Shakshouka(baked eggs in tomato) and cornbread with eggs and avocado salsa(gluten free). Coffee is decent and the bakery is mouth watering.

Stopped here before hitting the Farmer’s market. A bit crowded but line moved quickly. Getting our lattes took an eternity and we were done eating our very small but very good salmon and salami sandwiches(a three bite sandwich to give you an idea of the size). Bread was really good and so were the ingredients. I definitely want to go back.

Mood location — only real bakery in the area and quite a posh choice in the area. It has a few tables inside and outside — nice weekend coffee place also. Watch for prices — it is not very cheap but in my mind, quite a good value, especially their bread.

Oh the pastries, cakes, cookies… oh my! ! All are so delicious I just love coming here every time I am in London. I love everything about this place other than the price! It’s extremely expensive, but it’s so good I pay it anyway. You can’t go wrong with any of their sweet or savoury dishes.

Very overpriced and not as good as it thinks it is! £7 for coffee and a croissant — the coffee is quite bland and lukewarm. Really don’t get why people would pay these prices for such average food and coffee — all style no substance!

Reliable bakery with fun jams and breads. The sandwiches are nice as well — always look great on the display stands.

Nice bread in there(from traditional round bread sourdough to more imaginative one’s), but Gail’s can offer much more. they have a sitting area in the back. I have not tried it yet I just buy bread there. Their baguette-like is stonebaked,(YES), but it seems often too dry(NO!), is that a sign of a bread going stale MAYBE? :(. let me get this right. I am just saying that being a Frog in London I am very cautious when it comes to bread So, Dusting flour on bread looks authentic, but * purchase cautiously * just like in any other Artisanal bakery Oh, BTW, the staff is very friendy /chatty. It helps!

This place is such a piss take. Small sandwich 5 pounds(!), well hey for that price maybe they can offer a good environment to enjoy it in? Not really, you will be seated in a cheap IKEA sofa that is about to fall apart; that amongst other cheap looking furniture. They say all their personal are educated as baristas but one wonders why the coffee gives you that awful bitter aftertaste that sticks in your gum for a couple of hours. I don’t think their espresso machine have ever been cleaned?! In the end you will be standing in line with other queens park mums who doesn’t have anything else to do daytime than line up here for coffee and some overpriced bakery. I’d rather go to some of the other places for a take away coffee and then a stroll in the nice park. Maybe they don’t have the best coffee either, but at least it’s less expensive.

Just moved to Queen’s Park and sooo happy there is a Gail’s just a block away. Gail’s can always be counted on for a quick, delectable lunch. Their bread is amazing, so you can’t go wrong with a sandwich. While you’re there, don’t miss out on their desserts. The hazelnut and chocolate cake – layers of creamy hazelnut mousse, rich chocolate, and moist cake atop a crushed hazelnut crust – is second to none. It’s excellent with some filter coffee, which is not out of this world but very drinkable and comes in quite a large mug(don’t know about you, but I detest dinky cups of coffee!). Just a word about this particular branch of Gail’s: I hadn’t realised that this branch is called Gail’s Bakery(Instead of simply Gail’s), but maybe it is thus named because it does seem a bit smaller than the Notting Hill one. There is still table service, but you order at the counter. There is one communal table and a few couches – very snug. They do have wi-fi(free, I think), which is just one more reason to come here instead of Starbucks down the street!
