I work in the village and found myself heading to French and grace for a wrap this afternoon. I went with the lovely staffs recommendation, chorizo and halloumi and my oh my it was so damn tasty. Such fresh flavours and reminded me of that drunk time in Perth where I ate the most amazing kebab of my life and went back the next morning to taste it again to find it was the alcohol all along! But this, this is real. Thanks French and grace! Will be back!

So there is a lot of choice in Brixton Market and Village. Some might even say too much but these guys are in my top 5(i have eaten in every place in the market and village). The wraps are delicious and such a good price. I had chorizo and halloumi in mine and it was beyond divine. Make sure to check out the specials and the cocktails before making your decision but also make sure you keep going back for more!

I have never noticed this place until a colleague suggested we should try it. It is a very small but cosy & friendly place to eat. Menu is limited and to the point which I think it is good for such a small place. I’m not a fan of lamb but decided to give it a go so I ordered the lamb wrap. It has changed my mind! The salads were fresh and the lamb sausage was very tasty. The portion was right for me but I wouldn’t say the same for the boys. But £5.95 for a lamb wrap is pretty good. One of my colleague had the haloumi wrap and the other had the hearty Italian stew and they both enjoyed it. The hot chocolate(not those crappy instant hot chocolate) came in the camping mug! It was yummy. I would definitely go back for a nice lunch :)

Fairly solid Mediterranean, if a wee bit on the spendy side. On my several visits, everything was up to snuff, but nothing quite stood out, however, a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.

A recent opening in the Village Market, F&G hit the spot for my lunchtime visit. I know they pride themselves on their salad, and the menu descriptions almost had me hooked, but I couldn’t resist an ‘über wrap’. I opted for warm chorizo with haloumi, covered in humous and couscous and wrapped in a flatbread. Having seen the chorizo cooked in front of me, I knew it would be fresh. I’m impressed.- very tasty. Not bad for £5.50 either — you’d pay at least that for small portion in a tapas restaurant. I’m not sure its enough to prise me away from my favourite BVM dinner options(Honest etc), but for a quick(takeaway too) lunch, I’m a fan.
