Don’t bother! If I could, I’d give this place no stars — this restaurant is a complete disappointment. We had to wait for ages for the bottle of wine to arrive, and the waiters were being unnecessarily rude to a new girl.
When the food arrived, for the amount it cost, it was woefully bad. Two of our main dishes had to be sent back — my mashed potato was cold, and one of my dining partner’s Tagliatelli Ragu tasted like dishwater. (My starter — Spaghetti Vongole came with 6 clam shells, empty!) Even the espresso wasn’t up to much! And for the £43 per head our bill was, this was overpriced rubbish!
(We noticed a number of main courses being returned throughout the evening)
The waitress asked us if everything was all right and we told her NO. There was no offer in a reduction in the bill, nor a glass of wine on the house…
We thought they had lost one of my party’s coats when we left.
Just don’t bother.

I was recommended this restaurant, and I will continue spreading the love. I have been to Frantoio on multiple occasions and it continues to get better– the atmosphere is so fun, and the food delicious and fresh. Considering the overall experience it is worth every penny.

Frantoio has been recommended to me enthusiastically by friends. I went for the first time last night & can recommend it highly. It was full & buzzy on a Tuesday & many customers were Italian which is usually an endorsement. I had simple food but what I had was excellent. House White also more than adequate. I will return to try their more substantial dishes. Atmosphere was great too.
Reasonably priced too for this class of restaurant.
