For such a low price compared to other pizza restaurants this place is amazing. The menu is simplistic but the options are great and there’s always different specials every time I go. The pizzas are really rustic, absolutely delicious. You do often have to wait outside for 10⁄15 minutes but there’s heaters outside so you don’t have to wait in the cold! Well worth it. Considering its across the street from pizza express, this place is much better pizza and better value too.

Sooo I am being a bit harsh as I love the pizzas here(doughy bases are amazing) however the service on Saturday night wasn’t tip top and myyyy were they stingy on the toppings. We decided to share the meat special(£7.95 for chorizo, ricotta, mozzarella and watercress — no tom base) and have the buffalo mozzarella and wild boar salami side as a starter(£7 for a whole ball and a lotta salami). We asked for the pizza to have tomato sauce as without doesn’t appeal to me and they said that was no problem. However we ended up waiting between starter and main nearly 30 minutes while people who had sat down after we had finished our starter got their pizzas annnnd people queueing outside got slices of pizza on the house! We got an apology, our pizza followed soon after annnnnd was yummy however over the whole pizza there was only 4 slices of chorizo and some slices were covered in cheese and some had none on! It irritated me quite a lot but my bf had eaten most of the pizza before I realised how inconsistent the toppings were. Also charged us another £1 for the tomato base! I mean I am still gonna go back as compared with Italian chains the pizza is yuuuuum and reasonably priced but I do think they need to pay attention to the detail!

I had passed this place several times, but only got the chance to try it recently. As it turns out, it is a great place for pizza. Along with how good the pizza here is, another major plus is the fact that the prices are quite reasonable when compared with other pizza place in London. This is now one of my favorite much spots in the area.

Incredible value for money. Best pizzas pretty much anywhere. I prefer to takeaway as the restaurant is quite loud.

This is a lovely pizza place and there are often queues outside of the restaurant! The pizzas themselves are delicious and great quality. The only downside is that there isn’t a huge range of pizzas. They should do more because they are fantastic! Great evening out for all.

ABSOLUTELY! Now, I was born and raised in the South of Italy, which in itself makes me a total authority on all things pizza and honorary member of the Pizza Parliament. Yes, it’s a real thing. Franco Manca is as good as a pizza gets outside of I Sorbillo in Naples. I mean, we’re in London, so everything from the type of oven to the type of water will be different, but this pizza deserves its praise and I’m glad to have as much of it as possible.

This venue is a wonderful place to hang out with friends and have an amazing thin crusted(sourdough) pizza! Reasonable price(£6.75) for a big pizza with baked aubergine, ricotta, mozzarella, mushrooms and tomato. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, attentive and gentle waitress who was lovely and she really was genuine loving serving us ;) Definitely recommend this place!

So I tried Franco Manca… and it was incredible. I’ve not had many pizza’s like that in my life. I had number 5. The one with olives and capers and anchovies. It was just sublime. And cheap. Massively satisfying. I want to try the one in Brixton now!!!

Before ever setting foot in this establishment I had heard numerous people talk about the amazing pizza at Franco Manca. Being a lover of food I thought I’d better try it out for myself and see if this place lived up to all the hype. The answer was a resounding YES! Their pizza is by far the best pizza that I have ever had! It really is much better than any others that I have ever tried. The staff are also really friendly and attentive. All this at great prices. Needles to say, I have back several time since. The only slight down side is you can’t pre-book tables. But then again if you could, it would be more expensive. Personally I’m happy with a short wait.

Great little spot in Balham, popped in for lunch, friendly service, quick turn around and appreciate the simple menu(6 pizzas on the menu) and the prices are amazing. Most pizzas are around £6.50, really we’ll done with excellent sourdough base(this initially worried me an wasn’t sure if I’d like it, but it’s very subtle so don’t worry) I feel sorry for pizza express over the road!

As good as the original in Brixton! Great sourdough pizzas and service was friendly. The shop is a corner shop with lots of natural light from windows all round. Mint have to queue as it is very popular now. Pizza Express across the street must be struggling… but the pizzas are cheaper AND better at Franco’s! They do takeaway as well!
