Firezza Pizza

Zara L and I were hungry and wanted food ASAP! Alas, Chakra couldn’t deliver for another hour so we thought a quick pizza would be good… apparently pizza was not the best way to go. This descended into 2 tipsy girls on a glass of wine each (seriously, I still have ½ bottle left from last night) and a fair bit of «magic».
Apparently Hungry house sent us an email saying Firezza approved our order and they never saw it! Someone (apparently not anyone working on the phone) told me that the pizza was on it’s way after waiting for an hour when they never got our order (they didn’t tell us that after another 40 minutes)! They didn’t know how to use the «hold» button on the phone so we heard they all giggling on the phone about our lost pizza, and blamed each other for their ineptness! It was all «magic» (luckily Hungryhouse did take it slightly more seriously)!
After 2 long hours (when the pizza place is all of a 5 minutes drive from us) the pizza finally arrived. I think at that point we were a bit under the influence of a glass of wine and not having eaten for about 10 hours and thought it was fine. On reflection (and looking at the table) we apparently used a heck of a lot of garlic salt and Ottolenghi’s Lemon myrtle salt last night (because both makes everything so much better). So I am assuming the pizza was also more tasteless than we originally thought. Shame all I remember was that I was happy to not be hangry any more but the pizza was a bit too bready for my liking.
I managed to get a full refund from Hungryhouse but you can bet I’ll never be ordering pizza from Firezza.

Great prices for pizza, Good pizza itself, mediocre breaded chicken, bloody awful banoffee pie.

Great oven-​fired pizza. Delivery is always speedy. I love the ½m pizza + 2 sides/​desserts meal deal for £24.99.

Firezza introduced me to artichokes on pizza. Definitely my new favourite pizza topping. Well done, Firezza.
Delivery is fast and their site is quite manageable. ‘Nuff said.

For thin crust pizza, I was amazed that the pizza arrived fresh and crispy! A lot of times thin crust pizza is rubbery or soggy by the time it is delivered but this was perfect. The way they spread the toppings is interesting. We ordered two types each ¼ meter and on each piece they put one type of topping. I would have preferred that each slice was evenly spread but I guess this could be great for picky eaters.

for delivery pizza, i thought firezza offered very fresh food and an interesting variety of toppings. my husband and i split a half meter and it was plenty alongside their greek salad. delivery was fast and i would order again!

My landlady’s daughter said that this place was excellent and since it was right down the street, we thought we would try it. We ordered the margarita and another type that I can’t remember. We thought it would be reasonably quick since it was around the corner but it took nearly 45 mintues and then they brought 2 pizzas of the same kind instead of the ones we order. He offered to go back and get another one for us but the 1^st ones took so long we didn’t want to wait.

I used to order my take-​away pizzas from here — until I made the mistake (?) of passing by and etaing in. The kitchen staff’s hygiene left a lot to be desired for.
