Fine Line

You have to wait a long time for a drink and staff are often moody. Also one of the most expensive bars in the city without any music or atmosphere.

Service is nice and brisk, with the normal selection of lagers and beers you’d expect. The space inside is quite accommodating, and there is an outdoor area you can sit or stand outside.

I came here for a friend’s last night in London. It’s the pub closest to her office and seems like a real hot spot for everyone at her company. I was pretty impressed with this pub. Had a nice upbeat vibe and some delicious beers. I got a Hawaiian beer I rarely see in London so was quite pleased. They also have a range of mixed drinks (unusual for most pubs in my mind), although I didn’t have a chance to try one. Would recommend this place if you’re thirsty and in the area!

If you find this place, you’re in for a pretty good lunch. When worked in the city I’d come here about once a week and it’s the best place around here to get a decent bite to eat when you’ve only got half an hour.
If you ask nicely, they’ll push your order through. They know who is in for a long boozy lunch and won’t mind waiting, so we were never late back to work. The statff are lovely too.
Everything I’ve eaten here is good — it’s not too expensive either. Homemade burgers and rissotto were my favourites. You’ll pay about a tenner with a soft drink which as a treat isn’t too bad.
The place itself is fine. Nothing to shout about. It loses all charm in the evening. But it’s fine during the day. More than fine. Those of you who know the area will know how hard it is to even find somewhere to sit down, let alone get a quick bite to eat.
Definately worth popping in.
