CLOSED. You can buy wine in the shop next door and the theater will supply plastic cups. Too bad. I was looking forward to relaxing here before the show.

This joint has undergone a remodel and name change recently. It’s now a neighborhood wine bar and café. Highly recommend the wine tasting, they have some wines that are true gems at a reasonable price. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff.

After a game at the bridge, one might like to indulge in a pint or 6. Finborough Pub would be an excellent choice. It a short walk down from the Fulham Road. The pub itself sits between two roads and is triangular in shape. Inside you will find nice big tables for groups of 6 or so and a lively group of folks. Towards the back of the bar there is additional seating area and a fireplace to sit by. Quite nice arrangement. On my visit, there were several Chelsea fans milling about. They don’t have a huge selection of beers on tap, but on the day I was there they were offering 2 for 1 Perroni’s… which we gobbled up. We grabbed a table by a window and watched the world go by and enjoyed our beers. I really liked the vib of this place. Perhaps it’s because of the shape, since triangles are spiritual. I mean like the pyramids or the Bermuda Triangle off the coast of Florida. I could definitely relate to getting lost here after quaffing a few ales. The staff were young and hip and provided excellent service to us when we popped up to get our beers. They were pretty busy when we arrived, but that didn’t get in the way of the barkeeper recognizing me at the bar and letting me know they would be right over. Such a simple gesture which more places could incorporate so you don’t feel like a putz standing there wondering if you were going to be served or not. A unique feature of this brasserie is that there is a theater attached to it. Not sure where it was since I didn’t see where the stage and seating were located. I believe it is on the first floor above the bar area. Seems like it would be a great night out for a pre performance drink and then dinner afterward. What a great find and next time I will be sure to get a bite to eat…
