We stopped here for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant in an area without many options. I had a delicious panini, filling, tasty, freshly made and inexpensive. The atmosphere is pleasant too. The decorations around the bar have a lot of character.

Estella is my local tapas bar. My sister and I first discovered it a few years ago when they put some restaurant discount vouchers through our and we’ve been firm fans ever since. It’s close to Wimbledon Park Tube but we always drive. Street parking isn’t usually a problem in the evenings. Th restaurant has a bit of a Spanish vibe with the decorations and Spanish speaking staff. The list of Spanish beers also helps! Main courses and paellas are available but we stick to the tapas. Our favourites here are the pollo al ajillo(chicken in garlic sauce), pulpo(octopus with sea salt and paprika), higados(chicken livers), chuletas(lamb chops), chanquetes(whitebait) and ribs. Get lots of bread for the yummy sauces. A reliable purveyor of authentic Spanish tapas.
