Food at Engawa just makes me want to swim all the way back to Tokyo, go straight back to the Tsukiji market and devour every bit of fish they have. The Bento box is an amazing array of fish and combinations that will wow you just as much visually. It’s just a delightful treat that will leave you gushing for your camera phone as you happily snap away from different angles. Some hot and cold sushi boxes this really is a treat for your tastebuds. The best sushi experience I’ve had in London with beautiful presentation to match. Fresh, flavoursome and fantastic. Cannot praise it enough. Just save those pennies; it’s not crazy expensive to some you might know about l, but it’s definitely one to go with someone who enjoys the whole aspect of food like you may do.

A beautiful restaurant with a great new concept. We ended up coming for lunch where they serve a large bento box with several mini dishes in. We went for the larger of the two which had 14 dishes so we could sample as much as possible. They special in Kobe Beef and have it cooked some many ways you wouldn’t be able to remember. Each dish was perfectly balanced. Enough for you to have a few bites and appreciate how it was cooked and/or try different order/combinations with the other dishes. The bento box wasn’t limited to just Kobe Beef and also had Sashmi, Sushi etc. The staff are also great, very knowledgable about the dishes and attentive to all your needs. It is nice to see the kitchen at the back and they have a chefs table/bar area to overlook each dish being made. I would push this towards a High End Restaurant with high prices, but it is worth every penny, I would even say this is better than Nobu. Our Bento box was priced at £40 and I think there evening tasting menus start at roughly £80.(Visit — 26/02/2015 Lunch)
