This place gets 5 stars simply because of the staff. They’re always helpful and friendly, even when it’s really busy. Although EAT is a chain, I like the fact that they’re not robotic… it’s not a phoney ‘customer service’ friendliness, I think they’re all just really nice people who all get on well together. When you’re being served, you don’t feel like you’re being ‘processed’ like you do at some places. So kudos to the person who is recruiting there. Food-wise, it’s also a great spot to grab lunch or coffee if you’re in a hurry. They’ve got the usual grab and go sandwiches and wraps, but also daily specials, like soups and toasties. Speaking of the toasties… I really like them! The ‘Cubano’ being a firm favourite. Prices are good for this sort of thing too, no silly £4 coffees. There’s not a huge amount of seating, but it’s rarely full due to it being more of a pitstop for busy people from nearby offices.
