Yes, Regent’s and Kensington and green and Hyde are all world famous parks in London but I love this hidden gem in ealing. It’s perfect embodiment of a smallish common, away from the london spotlight. Leisurely and peaceful and very easy in the eye. I went there as a kid so maybe the fifth star is due to nostalgia. It’s just such a lovely spring time walk and a picturesque picnic place.

The map is totally wrong. What this shows is Westminster cemetery –which is worth a visit but quite certainly isn’t Ealing Common which is about a mile further east. Believe it or not it is near Ealing Common station.

Ealing Common is a park with lawn mowered styled grass, with trees. In one part of the common has a path that is lined with beautiful trees. It also has certain park benches situated in different parts of the common. The common is good for solitude, when you just want some quiet time to read or to be pensive and watch world go by. You will see a variety of sport, family’s or friends having a kick about or flying a kite or playing cricket. You will the cyclist leisurely riding a long. In the height of summer you will see sunbather topping up their tan or people having a picnic. In the Autumn you have the leaves cascading the common. In the winter with the white blanket of snow, which is such a pictures sight. Every bank holiday the Fun Fair comes, and local community descend on the common. The Common is off the Uxbridge road and is not far from Ealing Broadway and Haven Green which has all the shopping centre, high street shops, eateries and pubs. Also Warpole park(prettiest park in Ealing) is not far also.
