Having been invited to an Indian wedding, I couldn’t wait to buy a sari. Being completely new territory I enlisted the help of a friend who advised a trip to Green Street.(Instantly thought movie, football hooligans, Elijah Wood). We wondered up and down wandering in and out of the many shops Green Street has to offer and we came across Dulhan. We were instantly greeted by friendly and helpful staff. There were so many amazing colours and sparkles, I was in magpie heaven! I was very concerned I was going to spend a fortune as the fabrics were so beautiful and intricate but there was a range of prices depending on the style and type of fabric. My friend asked if it was possible to sew me into the sari to make it easier for me to dress myself on my own and they were very accommodating and they stitched the pleats for me. I was shown twice how to wrap myself up and given tips on pinning so I didn’t unravel. All in all a brilliant experience. Now I can’t wait to wear it to the wedding.

This Asian clothing shop stocks mainly saris in lots of colours and styles. They regularly have sales such as 50% off so good for those that want a bargain. The shop is quite big and is located opposite Barclays bank. The shop also sells children’s clothes as well as boys suits and girls saris. The prices are quite cheap and usually clothes that can be used for occasion wear. There is parking nearby on Shrewsbury road car park but there is no parking on that area of Green Street. This is a busy area of Green Street. The shop may sell a small collection of footwear.
