We came here for a Sunday night dinner and were the only patrons at the place. The place is nicely decorated and absolutely HUGE so if you ever need to host a large group, this is a good option. Service was attentive however I found the food a bit too pricey for the taste. Therefore, I’m only giving 3 stars.

This place is wonderful! Zander the Manager is lovely, professional and runs a tight ship so the staff know about the dishes, they can answer all questions about the food. They are very accommodating here, and the food is delicious! They have offers like steak Thursdays and burger Sundays where you get a meal and a glass of wine /beer for a set amount. Also if you have a sweet tooth, the cakes and buns are simply delicious!

I actually love del aziz for breakfast — it’s not too expensive, really delicious and different types of foods available. The staff are nice and the space is really open and doesn’t feel like you’re piled up ontop of each other. I had the eggs benedict here which were cooked to perfection and my friend had the frying pan which I had a taste of and was also DELICIOUS. Definitely coming back.

If you have been reading my reviews you will see that I love food you can share and for this reason I ordered the Mezze platter when I came here for dinner. It was really nice with a good selection of dishes — Hummus, tabouleh, tzatziki, lamb boreck, keftas & merguez sausages. There is probably a bit too much food on this for two people and maybe not quite enough for three but I guess it depends on how hungry you are, and we weren’t starving that night. Another friend ordered the tagine which looked gorgeous and he demolished it. The service was really good too and the waiters were friendly and attentive. The cakes here look amazing. I didn’t try any as the mezze was enough that night but I definitely need to come back and do so. I often walk past here and drool a the cakes and pastries sitting in the window. This atmosphere is relaxed and casual, and with good food and friendly service what is there not to like! Definitely worth a return visit!

Take away Cake I had Black Forestcake. Didn’t eat in so cannot talk about much. The cake didn’t cost more than £4, but it wasn’t impressive. It will be great if they can add cherry soaked in alcohol more into cake? Thus two stars If I had time I will visit there sometime soon.

I think people reviewing on here must have been just out of an all night stay in A and E as I don’t recognise their experiences at all Point 1: Sun blush Tomato’s are never ever acceptable in anything in any place of eating Point 2: Dodgy mini pitta pockets with x3 ok Falafel’s is not cheap or cheerful Point3:Wine way overpriced Point 4: Décor in restaurant made me feel sick –an Ikea Tangiers fantasy in a riot of pink and cheap mirrors Point 5: Other half’s Tagine far too pricey, thimbleful of cous cous, pallid looking chicken in some tasteless gloop like a Farrow and Ball paint sample Never again

I came across this place when I was looking for a nearby bakery open after 7pm. It’s a restaurant but I found a huge selection of cake and pastries from the window. I got a large piece of chocolate cake and also a large and thick slice of pear tart for take away. The service was great, the waiter was nice enough to put each piece in a separate box. As for the flavor, they were both amazing :) The chocolate cake had some pear and raspberry pieces and the cream was very light. The tart was full of big pear chunks that made it very fruity. I’d like to come back and dine in next time… At least I already know the dessert here is amazing!

I’m a bit lost when it comes to Del’ Aziz. There is a lot to be admired in Moroccan food there is certanly a lot to enjoy when it comes to breakfast, with, in my book the combinations of fresh juice, good tea or coffee, winning flatbreads of various descriptions, and, if you’re really lucky, honey from the Atlas Mountains. Best, of course, eaten under a sunny North African sky. So it was that I was somewhat bemused by my breakfast experience here. It wasn’t that it wasn’t good it was a very serviceable full breakfast but I’m struggling to see how the addition of a semolina pancake makes it into a Feast(as described on the menu). Surely there could be some further concession to authenticity, like, say, using merguez, and omitting the rather average black pudding ? All that said, I would definitely come back for breakfast(and will probably give it a whirl one evening), as it is great for families(big space, lots of high chairs) and those who don’t necessairly want to share breakfast conversations with their neighbours

Friday night Dinner. We went here as a last minute«Yay its Friday lets celebrate» No need for booking we just turned up. I’d read that the left hand side dining area was more cozy than the right so upon arrival we requested that. The atmosphere was great and the place looked great. There was loads of mood lighting and the service we received was excellent throughout. We had the sharer mixed Mezze platter to start! An amazing introduction to the cuisine that we just could not get enough of. The waitress kept bringing us bread so we could mop up all the beautiful food and was almost full off the starter alone! The mains came in good time we went for two different pocket pita’s as were trying to keep the cost down. Again were so flavoursome and delicious and with the Del Aziz fries were scrumptious. The wine was excellent the service was great and i’d definitely recommend a visit!

Not much to say about this place. Décor is quite cool although a bit hard edged Food fairly average, but an incredibly varied menu. The cakes are really good i.e. Patisserie Valerie standard and probably the main attraction. There are so many much better places with more soul and atmosphere in Clapham. Basically feels like a glorified canteen. Management are obnoxious.

A decent Moroccan restaurant in the heart of Clapham Old town. The food is nice and the staff friendly. Not the best of service around though as you can be waiting quite a while before getting served. Unfortunately, for a Moroccan place, they have absolutely no idea how to prepare traditional mint tea. They deffo know how to serve it but I’ve been there twice now and ended up with literally just hot water each time. Shame really.

We dropped by here on a lazy Sunday morning. The place is usually pretty quiet for breakfasts on weekdays, but the opposite is true on weekends when the place is pretty much Choc-o-Bloc . We managed to bag a table as a couple left, and were pretty shocked at the prices, quite steep considering alternatives nearby(Just take a look at their desserts which average in at around £5 a slice of anything). That being said we enjoyed our pita wraps, I had a Chicken Shisk Taouk Wrap, which while good was a little light on the chicken,(apparently you can double up for an extra £3.50). Our parsley and olive oil fries were also good. Might go back to try the mains in the evening, but I think for breakfast there are better alternatives around.

On the hunt for a really quick dinner on a Monday night, we decided to give Del’Aziz a try. We had walked past on several occasions, both this branch and the one in Bermondsey and were tempted in by the promise of delicious-looking cakes. Of course, we couldn’t justify going in solely for the purpose of eating cakes… whatever would my mother say! So we ordered some«real» food — chicken tangine(50% of tangines on a Monday night — whoo!) and some kebabs. I don’t eat Middle Eastern food very often, so wasn’t too sure what to expect. I’m pleased to report that the food was pleasant, arrived quickly and the tangine came out nice and hot(in temperature rather than spiciness). In the interim between ordering and food arriving, the openness of the restaurant tempted across to the fridges holding all the cakes and patisseries. We had to make two trips as there was far too much choice — strawberry gateaux, chocolate cakes, coffee cakes, carrot cakes, marble cakes… to name just a few! We ordered three slices to take away(one each for us and a friend… we aren’t that insane to order three slices of cake for 2 of us, as tempting as it was!). I’m pleased to report the cakes were devoured within 2 days and enjoyed by all! I enjoyed it and would venture in again in passing, but probably wouldn’t make a special trip to eat here unless to buy more cakes!

We came across Del’Aziz when walking around Clapham Old Town looking for a place for dinner on a Wednesday night. We were drawn in by the amazing looking cakes in the bistro upstairs and when we went in realized that it’s not just a bistro but also a full restaurant and cocktail bar downstairs! We had dinner in the restaurant, which was delicious. The lamb shank tagine was falling off the bone and extremely well seasoned. I really wanted the mechoui(slow cooked braised lamb) but my dinner partner isn’t a lamb eater … next time! The service was extremely attentive(maybe a bit too attentive), but the food arrived a little too slowly for my liking, but then again I was starving. After dinner they suggested we head downstairs to their cocktail bar for a drink and some live jazz. The cocktail bar was great, low lit, lots of comfy looking booths around the sides and high tables in the middle. The bartenders were very friendly and the live jazz was lovely, just a small 3 man band, very intimate. Overall I really enjoyed the experience and will definitely be heading back. The entire space is huge and I look forward to enjoying a cake and coffee in their bistro and maybe even a small get together with friends in the cocktail bar.

There hasn’t been a really good Turkish restaurant in Clapham so when this place popped up I thought I’d try it out. I went to the restaurant(they have a lovely looking bakery and bistro too), and thought the menu was pretty good. The starters were lovely(falafel — check, feta pastries — check). The mains were pretty good too(I love anything with couscous). My only gripes were that the bread they served at the start wasn’t as fresh as it could have been and it was ever so slightly over priced, but hey, this is Clapham. They also have a fab bar downstairs with belly dancing entertainment so I will definitely be going back. Hooray for a new venue in Clapham.
