Amazing Staff, Great Food, Excellent Beer… As a visitor here in London, this was one of the first pubs I visited, my experience here was so good I will make it a thing that every time I visit London, I’ll come here!

Really nice pub tucked away in the back streets of Hammersmith. Exceptional food every time. The Dartmouth is, relatively speaking, a quiet pub so go there if you fancy a chilled out Sunday lunch or a quite few pints in the evening. If that’s what you’re after, it’s a nice cosy, friendly place with lots of character. Small beer garden is nice on a sunny evening.

We stumbbled upon this place on a cold night for a quick dinner & drink. It was certainly a good choice. For dinner, we had the duck along with a bottle of red wine. The duck was cooked perfectly and tender to eat. It was also nice that they’ve paired it with sweet potatoes. Not only do I love sweet potatoes and consider a good choice for the colder season, but it was also interesting for the sweet potatoes to be used rather than the usual sweet orange marmalade or similar fruity pairings. To spice up the dish, there was also a hint of curry in the duck, which worked quite well overall. We also enjoyed our wine. It was either an Italian or Chilean red. We had to choose one of the two but I remember we liked both when we did the tasting. The service was good, which was another plus. The setting was already decorated for Christmas. I personally didn’t really mind the early Christmas décor. The place looked pretty big so I’m imagining many people can be seated there comfortably.

This pub has a really great vibe, a bit of fun yet a little more upmarket to the usual pub in Hammersmith. There is an upstairs area though I mainly stayed downstairs. It closes earlier than other pubs in the area and they do have quite a good menu for food so I’m sure it’s a great place to have a meal. The staff are friendly and it’s a bit quieter of a pub as it’s off the main drag of Kings Mall. It’s not exactly the kind of place you’d go for dancing or partying but has a great chilled atmosphere for a quiet drink with friends.

We decided to dine here as it was literally a two minute walk from our hotel(Hotel Adria). Nice atmosphere and friendly service. We had a main & desert. Steak was excellent but I must recommend their spicy sausage. Now we’ve just got Kate Bush to see!

Great gastropub! I watched the Olympics closing ceremonies here and the staff were kind enough to keep the pub open later than normal so we could watch the entire thing. Food was excellent, atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and prices were just right. Top dishes were the chorizo & squid risotto, linguine putanesca and lamb skewers.

This is a nice enough pub, with quite good beer(Doom Bar and [snicker] Butcombe). Pretty nice feel to the place, away from hardcore Hammersmith. They do not turn away men with handbags.

Another cracking pub in an area full of cracking pubs. Same owners as a few other pubs with good reputations(cumberland arms is one) the pub is done up smart. Staff are friendly and menu is extensive and impressive. We had an italian pasta I can’t remember the name of with lovely courgette of different colours. And a lamb tagine with cous cous and yoghurt. Really nicely done. Generous portions but plates were cleaned. Deffo a place for some otf the smart business people coming off the broadway who make their way there for lunch. I wouldn’t call it cheap but it’s value for money. I’d give it 4 stars but I gave the Andover Arms 4 and this doesn’t quite match up because it’s a little too far on the smart side for me personally, I side with the eclecticism of the Andover. But it’s a lovely place nonetheless and we’ll be going for the sunday lunch.

This place is always heaving and has lovely food. The menu is fab and when I ate here I wished it could go on. A gastro pub right next to my office and I get to go here all the time. The bar staff can be a it scattered but they are lovely and the food, while not superfast, it perfectly cooked. It was so yummy. When you go here I think it was at table service so they will come to the table and take your order but don’t be shy about popping up to the bar and ordering there. There are a number of tables so just sit wherever you want but if you’re a big party ring ahead and reserve the table.

If your looking for that simple, easy pub than look no further. A few good real ales on that are always changing. A decent selection of lagers. Some different things like Hoegarden. While also having things like Grolsch and Leffe in bottles. The wine list is drool worthy. I have been told that the owners hand pick the wine list, and try to do their best in training the bar staff in the wine selection. So don’t just walk up to the bar and ask for a ‘pinot’ or ‘merlot’. There is much more. But don’t just get stuck on the booze. The food is well priced and is quite decent portions. Changing seasonably, I like to experiment, but you can’t go wrong with their staples: penne with sausages, sausages, or any of their three sandwiches. Yum, steak sandwich. I gave it 2£ signs becuase it may look a bit pricey, but for the atmosphere, food portions, and decent drink pricing it competes really well with its neighbors. And is definitely a gastro-pub and just simply a restuarant with a bar.

The Dartmouth is my all-time favourite pub in Hammersmith, being located dangerously close to The Day Job. The staff are top of my list of praiseworthy elements; they are a cohesive, courteous, friendly bunch who know a thing or two about what they’re serving, and one of whom has taken up the brewing of beer as a hobby, so you might say they know their brews. I’m not a real ale fan, so can’t comment on their real ale selections, but I do know my wine, and if you want to try a great-value chardonnay with a full and fruity body, give Red Fin a go. Only, once you fall for the Red Fin, you must return to the Dartmouth for further tasting opportunities because Red Fin sadly ain’t available retail. There’s also an outside area in the Dartmouth’s favour, and their food is fabulous — seasonal gastro pubby without any pretention whatsoever. The only downside is that it gets very, very crowded on fine, summer evenings and Fridays because those in the area have clocked onto the fact that this really is the best pub in Hammersmith.

I’ve been here three or four times and always had a very pleasant time. It’s slightly out of the way, but only slightly, and being just 5 minutes walk from Hammersmith tube station, it’s a good place to meet friends. Add that to the fact that they reserve tables for you for free and serve good portions of tasty food, and you have a nice cheap party venue. So that’s why I had my party there. And a thoroughly nice time was had by all. The added bonus at the end of the night was healthy selection of whiskeys. And by ‘bonus’ I really mean in cash form for them and not my head the next day. Two added extras: a nice patio at the front for sitting out on a summer evening, and a few board games for the bored.

It’s a busy little pub once the work day is over, but give it some time and I think you’ll find it’s a pretty good one. When it’s nice outside, their outdoor patio is a great place to spend a few hours on an afternoon. And their sandwiches are MASSIVE which makes up for the prices. We felt very smug last night having four tables reserved for our party and disappointing all the people coming in, looking for somewhere to sit. As long as you’ve got your space, and you don’t mind waiting a bit at the bar for your service, it’s a decent place to spend a Friday night or Sunday afternoon.

Though it’s not a cheap watering hole, it does have gorgeous food and great service. They seem to change their menu quite frequently, so the one you see on their website is out of date. I wouldn’t recommend the soup with rice since the rice tasted like it wasn’t cooked all the way, but the soup itself was quite delectable.(I had a red pepper and saffron soup, but the flavor will probably change by the time you get there.) The funny thing is that they did bring out the soup without rice at first, which I questioned since on the menu it does say«soup with rice», so they apologized profusely and corrected the mistake. On top of that, they gave me a complimentary glass of Vin Santo port(delicious, by the way). The beer I had was quite nice, too: a bitter ale from Timothy Taylor’s Landlord. The verdict: I’ll go back sometimes to try some more of their dishes with a side of alcohol given that they are just around the corner from where the office is located.

Can’t help but think that this pub could do better. It is a nice old building with a small heated patio out front. I always get the feeling that it is a bit grubby inside and the seating needs a good clean and or re-upholstering. Having been in here a few times the bar staff also have a «will do it when we get to it» sort of attitude which doesn’t make you want to make much of an effort in return. Why should I spend my money in a pub that doesn’t really care ? I think that this place would benefit from a change in management and an injection of cash, then they might car a bit more… Could be a really good pub if they could be bothered.

Was a regular haunt of me and my colleagues when working in Hammersmith. Has a great little outside bit for those sunny evenings. Food is tasty but for some strange reason they don’t serve mayo!

The dartmouth is your classic refurb of an old dive. Back in the day, our office was a little worried about going there, but now we head down there every Friday. They always have two real ales, good selection of everything else, impressive wine list and very, very good food. Ok, a little pricey, but well worth it. The chorizo soup is particular good, as are the platters to share. Top tip is to checkout the upstairs seating, because although the bar isn’t normally open, it is a bit quieter, even on Fridays. Second top tip is the little known, and little noticed, boardgames on the window ledge. A full selection of your favourites. One of the better pubs in Hammersmith.
