Having tried the obligatory ‘Curry Take Away Camden’ Google search looking for something quick and easy, I stumbled upon this one. The website is solid and saves the hassle of phoning up a noisy restaurant and asking the guy on the end of the phone to describe the menu. I haven’t tried the scheduled delivery but would assume that it’s as prompt as the ASAP option. Unfortunately they’ve stopped allowing the 20% off voucher, which makes it a little more expensive, but still not too pricey and the minimum order price for delivery is fairly low. That’s the good side. The bad? I found the rice, in particular, very uninspiring, slightly hard, and more annoyingly — cold. Obviously a criticism of any home delivery service but they really need to invest in better packaging or rethink their logistics as the food tends to need sticking in the oven for a couple of minutes once it arrives, which slightly mitigates the benefits of ordering in in the first place. Onion bhajees were also small and nothing special. The main courses seem good though(apart from the aforementioned tepidity). I’d probably order again, but more due to the convenience and lack of any other competitors than the food on its own merits.

After ordering at Curry Me Home on a Monday night — I have now become a regular! I decided to visit the site after receiving a leaflet through the door and seeing that they were promoting a 20% discount. The food was amazing and the delivery on time! We had a large meal with 5 dishes. All in all, I would have to say that this was an excellent indian takeaway meal I’ve had in a long time.
