I like this little café. It has a certain charm and the location is excellent. With a few tables outside and inside, there is a great view of the traffic at Baker Street. You can always be guaranteed a view of the Sherlock Holmes Museum across the street, watching the tourists queue up to se the«real» office of a fictional character. Decent nibbles — the standard fare of many small cafes in London. I’ve never strayed too far from the namesake Croque Monsieur that always arrives with the cheese still bubling from the grill. They make a decent latte here and there is a cooler of bottled sodas juices and water. Service is friendly and efficient. I’ve never waited more than a couple of minutes for my sandwich or the coffee. Cheap at less than £5.

Conveniently located a mere stone’s throw from Reagent’s Park, Croque Monsieur is a little café whose obvious strength is the breadth of their menu. Unfortunately, like many venues trying to be a «jack of all trades», they fall short with just about all the items they offer. From sandwiches and salads to fish and chips, the most difficult part of a trip to Croque Monsieur is making a selection. With a truly exhausting selection paired with quaint seating and a friendly staff, the potential is there. However, when it comes down to the food, the façade starts to peel away. With a truly tiny kitchen, it’s not surprising that most of the dishes and sandwiches appear to be coming from frozen packages in the back. Additionally, a poor drink selection further hinders the experiences. It would be okay if you could be in and out of Croque Monsieur for less than a fiver, but with prices comparable to far superior establishments, next time you’re around Baker Street give this café a miss.

This is a great place to go on a sunny day. They have a patio area to eat outside and the inside welcomes in plenty of light as well. The food is ok, but again the setting is the best selling point about this place, especially since it’s so close to Regents park.

A small café with a big selection, I was impressed! I came with 2 friends on a sunny Wednesday afternoon and it was relatively quiet, not crowded at all. I got smoked salmon and cream cheese on a croissant – nothing too fancy or special but it was good enough for what I was craving that day. It’s very conveniently located on Baker Street near the Beatles store, Elvis store, Sherlock Holmes museum, and the Rock ‘n Roll memorabilia store.
