Oh no! Another hand products specialist in Covent Garden, and right next to L’Occitane too!(They are also next to L’Occitane in Regent Street, funnily enough). I have only ever seen people give their products as gifts and not used any of their products before. However, they are doing their Hand Cream Amnesty currently until 12 March 2014 where if you take in any hand cream(new or old) they will give you a free La Source; Tarocco Orange; Rosewater; Pomegranate, Argan & Grapeseed or Gardeners Collection 25g hand cream for free! Not being able to resist this promotion, I duly went with my equally freebie trippie colleague at lunchtime this week. We told them of the offer and they were accommodating but wanted us to try their other hand products first. We were trying a hand cleansing soap, then their Gardeners Hand Recovery(which is a hand scrub), and finally their gardeners collection handcream. We were hooked. The cleansing soap left my hands feeling moisturised and not the usual dry feeling you get(no need for further moisturiser if you didn’t want it), the hand scrub does what it says, you use it once a week to get rid of any dead skin and leave your hands feeling smoother, and the hand cream seriously moisturises. It contains shea butter and I would say trumps even L’Occitane shea butter hand cream!(Never thought I would say this!) They had a 3 for 2 offer instore and we could not resist, so bought two hand scrubs(£16 each) and one hand cream(£20) to share. Only then did the assistant manager let us get our free hand cream, but I suppose we do not mind. Their products really are lovely. The cheekiest thing is, after we had paid for our products, he gave us a voucher for £5 off a £25 spend instore or online! We could have done with that before we’d paid! The assistant manager Yusuf also asked us where we worked, and told us they could do a private event for our workplace where they could close the doors to their store and offer samplings of their products, and let us buy items at a corporate discount. I promptly told them about Unilocal.Mayhaps we will see a Unilocal event on here soon with this company! As a summary, the products are nice. The employees probably work on a commission basis as they were slightly pushy wanting you to spend money. The store is laid out well and there are quite a lot of promotions at the moment. We saw quite a few customers pop in at lunch to buy products, so they are doing well!

Evident that the sales people here work off commission; they’re a bit too«helpful»(pushy). Nevertheless, very nice smelling lotions. My hands felt like a baby’s after trying some of the samples. Bit upscale in price, but hopefully that means a quality product?

Another cosmetic shop in Covent Garden market. Crabtree and Evelyn is located next to the Whittard of Chelsea and sell beauty products. They have different collections as for example the goat milk one that is really nice. Every collection has products like hand and body creams, soap, lip balms, etc. The presentation of the products is really good so they are ideal to give as a present. The prices are average, cheaper than you thought with the first look at the store. Sometimes they have special promotions and sales. They also have their own brand of cookies and teas that are also perfect to give as presents.
