+2 stars for solid music programme. consistently great techno artists come through here –2 stars for the incredibly aggressive security staff. a friend of mine was not allowed a chocolate bar in even though she has diabetes and needs sugar ever couple hours. they took it from her and threw it on the ground, and the bar doesn’t sell any food. another time, i was aggressively searched and thrown into a very intimidating isolation room for no reason other than a suspicion that i was doing drugs in the bathroom, where i was humiliated and talked to in a very condescending manner. the security will also run around the club shining their flashlights on people and randomly search you. it gives the club a very unsafe atmosphere, despite there stated purpose of making it safe. –1 star for the generally bad vibes this place gives off. lots of weirdos and creepers. maybe if the bouncers paid more attention to who they are letting in instead of who is doing drugs or hanging out in the toilettes, this club would have better vibes. also, is this place has no chill zone besides an outside smoking area and a single couch near the bar. and the whole time you are being watched by aggressive security so it can’t really be deemed«chill» at all. this place is the opposite of chill. oh, and a can of beer is 4 pounds, but i guess that is to be expected in London. summary: great music. horrible security and dodgy crowd. i would avoid staying away from this place unless you absolute must see someone playing there.

Friendly staff, fairly powerful sound system, lowkey vibes, proper dark foggy dance floor and very down-to-party-til 7 am crowd — pick a show that you want to see and go. Dress light it gets hot on the dance floor! The bar has free earplugs which is nice, also I like that they have two varieties of Modelo beer or big cans of Red Stripe to drink. No faults with the venue really. On the other hand, as the events are a bit eclectic, I have had some of my best nights in London here without a doubt, but have also had some nights that were just so-so due to a club full of punters being more interested in pushing through the dance floor than actually dancing on it– it’s worth doing homework on the music for an evening. Four plus stars

I think this is by far my favorite club in London ! The venue is always great !! The place itself is super nice with a big outdoor smoking area and two big rooms with a stage to dance on. The vibe describes so well the London underground music scene super friendly and not pretentious ! Good to know: if you like their Facebook page it’s free on thursdays :)

The sound system in this place is pretty decent. A noisy band gets proper treatment and you can hear what’s going on. Sadly that’s as good as it got for me on the occasions I have been here. If a show is a sell out the place suffers massively from having a bottleneck in the middle so you can’t close to the stage and in the middle it gets super squashed so even getting to the toilets is tricky. What’s more the ceiling lowers seriously half way back so the sound at the back just doesn’t work — you need to be at the front to hear properly. This combined with a poor and pricey bar selection(no draught beers at all), and invasive search policy on the door make this somewhere it’s unlikely I will visit again…

Of course it’s really hard to review a venue as different promotors host different kind of parties here. But for the few times I’ve been here, it was always an amazing experience and party. Corsica Studios is the kind of place we luckily still have in London: underground music, dark, loud, filthy, edgy …(all in a very good way). Definitely check out their website as LOTS of great parties are done here and it’s quite convenient to get to(right behind the Elephant & Castle station). Prices(entrance depending on promotor as well as drinks inside) are very reasonable for London.

First off, the venue itself is quite cool. We’ve been here for several different dance parties so it all depends on who is hosting the night on whether or not you like the music and the venue. A couple of small dance rooms which if the night has oversold, can be really hard to move about in here. The staff here are nice but they really need to either a) hire more bar staff or b) find a place for a second bar(sometimes they have a bottled beer area set up but not always). the reason being, and why we haven’t given this place a 4 or 5 star is, when it’s busy it can take a really long time to get served and get a drink. It’s so busy the bar staff don’t have any idea who to serve next! As far as sound /acoustics go, quite good especially for such a small space. Check it out if one of your favourite djs is spinning.

If you want to feel like you’ve been to a mini festival Corsica Studios is the place to go. It never takes long to get in, the crowds always nice, the layout is simple and easy, drinks aren’t expensive and there is a nice sized smoking area. I went last Friday for the monthly Trouble Vision which is a really popular dubstep night, there are two big large rooms with various djs throughout the night and there is another room with a silent disco. There’s never anyone creepy there and its filled with young students. Highly recommend going if you want a big night out and want to hear new up and coming djs, much better than having to end the night listening to weddingesque tunes.

It is like a return to the glow stick and white glove environment of the 90’s. Situated down a dodgy side street in dodgy Elephant & Castle I expected to see people with eyes as big as saucers mumbling to themselves outside. My trip down memory lane included wanting to see barely coherent, incarnations of Bambi trying to stand on the dance floor as an imitation of dance. In truth I saw neither of these things. The clubbing scene has grown up over the years. This venue is a trussed up warehouse fitted with one bar that services two rooms. The atmosphere will always be intimate as the place is not huge. With a decent outside space fitted with a Corona bar, Corsica Studios is spacious enough to be able to wander the white walkways to escape the phenomenally heavy bass lines to catch your breathe. The sound system is breath taking if you situate yourself in front of a speaker. I spent most of my night there, ensuring cheap thrills from the massive reverbs. I like this venue, not because it is any thing special, but because it is a happy symbol of my underground rave past.

Corsica Studios is my favorite gig venue in London. They’ve got a fantastic sound system and bring over some great DJs. It’s a little dingy, but in a way that is a nice contrast to horrible sterile mega-clubs. It’s more like a huge house with parties going on in different rooms. Usually they have two rooms open but sometimes there are three and I always find myself wandering around like a retard because I can’t remember which room is where. There’s also an outside area for smoking and a coat check. The vibe has always been good when I’ve been there, although the crowd has the tendency to get a little too young, pretty and hip for my taste.

Corsica is a really excellent venue and I’ve never had a bad time there. I’ve always gone there to attend friends’ club nights like the new and wildly popular Trouble Vision, which I’m actually off to tonight — so excited, especially about the silent disco which is held out back in the outside area and plays anything from Abba to gabba! Everyone there always looks like they want to have fun — I guess you wouldn’t make the trip to Elephant and Castle if you didn’t! But it’s also the layout of the place that makes it so successful — there’s a small bar area at the front, quieter than the rest of the club so you can chat. Then there’s a large room with a stage, a small room next to it, and the outside area, which for me is the best bit. It’s always bustling and a good breathing space away from the music. The bar is also a gallery, so you check out the art as you dance. Corsica is a friendly, unpretentious club with a cool, arty vibe that’s a winner for any type of night. It also has the added bonus of being far enough away from the centre that only those who want to go there do.

I’ve been to Corsica Studios a few times now and I’m always really impressed with the varied roster of bands they have playing there. From the avant-garde to atmospheric doom, Corsica really is brave in so far as their programming is concerned. From the outside, the venue doesn’t look like much at all but once you enter, you get a real feel of what they are trying to achieve. The venue has a really arty vibe, it’s cosy and the stage is dotted in fairy lights. However, it’s not pretentious like some venues of this calibre can be. There is a cool outdoor area and a little cushioned room where you can chill out and chat too. The bar is right at the entrance and away from the stage which is handy when it gets busy, and it *can* get busy depending on the band. I saw Japanese band, Ruins, play there a few months back and it was rammed but totally fantastic. I’ve had some great nights at Corsica and it’s open quite late too, the perfect avant-garde night out!

The venue that’s going to be the place to be. Two great rooms and an open air back room provide a great stage for bands and djs alike. Full of art school types, you may find yourself feeling like a bit of a grandpa if you’re over 23 years old. But the line-ups are great and there have been some really great djs. The only draw back is the area, you wouldn’t really want to go down to Elephant and Castle by yourself, let alone be stranded there at 3 in the morning. Besides that, it’s really worth checking out if you’re fed up of the usual tourist spots.

Corsica Studios is a really cool venue, and whenever I have been it was in order to attend friend’s club nights, which shows that they like to support studenty stuff and alternative nights. There are two main rooms, one with a stage for bands and an area for DJ decks. The other room is good for video screenings and is a bit more chilled out. There is also a good back area for smokers. It is a pretty chilled out venue, the crowd varies depending on the night. There is always an oppurtunity to check out new art, bands visuals etc, a really good and understated place. The Bar is averagley priced.

Corsica Art Studios is just down the road from Elephant & Castle tube station(perhaps only 5mins walk). It is in an off road and appear to be in a cavern under a railway bridge, which as these things go is a pretty ‘strong look’. The inside is one rectangular room with the stage at the far end and the bar on the immediate right. Also, off a passage is an outside room where you can go hang out, have a cigarette if you smoke, and mingle with performers. It is a pretty small venue but there is a real communal sense about the place that makes it a lot more personal. The people running the bar are cool. Like Joseph P. mentioned in his review the crowd is mixed in terms of age but generally pretty arty(in the interesting rather than hipster wannabe sense). The performers are diverse and interesting, and seem to have been chosen with care. The last time I went I saw Japanese psychedelic band Acid Mothers Temple Clause(an incredible experience with a low-key, but well-done, light show). The time before was a Scottish poet /shoe gaze collaboration which I was a little apprehensive about but was really engaging. Neither act I knew particularly well before hand, so I would say it’s definitely the kind of place to just go and experience something new.

Elephant and Castle venue Corsica Studios is a non-profit arts organisation that helps to fund exhibitions, performances, film screenings and other ventures. The club nights that reside there are dubstep groundbreakers Platform 1, Garage neeks Night Slugs and more. The space is amazing when your walking through the place you will see random bits of art which cathes your eye instantly. The crowd you get there is more the arty crowd what you’d expect from an art studio really. Just the whole vibe of the place is really cool and i enjoyed myself when i went there recently, it was for a dubstep and garage club night with acts Macabre Unit and more and it was a great night and i think that was partly due to the venue to be honest.

Pretty cool warehouse party venue. Predominantly friendly/messy crowd :) Have some great line-ups, if there’s a dj playing there you would like to see then it’s definitely worth going with friends(wouldn’t advise going out in Elephant & Castle on your toblerone). Beats Fabric and others in entry-fee and atmosphere, hands down.
