I’ve always seem to walk past this place but have never plucked up the courage to go in until today. Upon entering I was pleasantly surprised to see a nice, modern interior with a Moroccon edge to it. On the walls were pendant lanterns and some of the bigger, corner tables had plush sofas for seating. The tables offered bottles of balsamic vinegar and olive oil which was also a nice touch. The staff were really friendly and polite and even brought over a tea plate for our tea bags… I dunno, for me it’s the small things that count when it comes to customer service. What I liked most about this place was its lunch menu, offering up a selection of baguettes, paninis, ciabatta rolls and sandwiches. I ordered a mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini that came with a small side salad(cue the balsamic vinegar and olive oil.) and it was a satisfying choice. Otherwise, for a more filling lunch option I noticed they also serve a wide range of meat and fish dishes(the mixed grill with rice caught my eye), pasta dishes and jacket potatoes. They also serve up breakfast, a range of hot beverages and freshly squeezed juice. Oh, and the meat is Halal. To me, this place seems more than your bog standard café that specializes in the ol’ all-day breakfast and is a far cry from the many dingy and greasy cafes in Walthamstow Market. Thumbs up!
