Came here last night prior to a performance at the RAH. What a wonderful hidden gem this place is, tucked away in this theatre, available only to holders of a ticket to a show here. It is small and beautifully decked out room with gorgeous chandeliers which really caught my attention. Upon arrival the staff were solicitous and friendly without being overbearing. They took our coats and champagne was immediately offered and gratefully received. The waiters wore white gloves which could be seen as pretentious but I found it quite pleasing. We had a range of starters between us; I had the seared prawns on lentils. The prawns were fine, unremarkable in themselves but the lentils were delicious. I tried the goats cheese starter which was lovely and creamy. Next I had the beef fillet, perfectly cooked and seasoned and exceptional for London. It was accompanied by a tasty potato dauphinois and vegetables. Yum. Then I broke all the rules and went for the crime brûlée and finished nearly all of it by myself. I was supposed to be sharing. Can’t say enough good things. Great service throughout by ever present staff; thanks to Imogen our waitress who was endlessly accommodating and smiley. Need to get more tickets to more shows to come back here!
