We go fairly regularly to Claye Chef as there’s a 40% discont when you eat in between 6 and 9 p.m. between Monday and Thursday evenings. I would agree with the comment about the food all seeming to be similar. I suspect they use the same base for all the dishes. As someone who only eats vegetarian, although they pride themselves on award winning tandoori and vegetrian indian cuisine there’s not a great range of vegetarian dishes — just the ones that you would get at most indian restaurants. Parking can also be a problem in the vicinity but the restaurant does have some spaces at the back which can be reached from the access road that runs behind the shops — and then you can enter the back of the building from there. The staff are very friendly and it is a nice atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I have eaten here a few times as it’s literally crawling distance from our house. Apparently no-one goes here on the weekends becasue during the week they give you a huge 40% discount on your food bill! However, Unfotunately this is not enough to bring us back here too often. We have experimented with a few dishes but no matter what we choose they all appear to taste extremely similar but still quite tasty. If someone can recommend an amazing dish please do and I will go back to try it! We are a fan of the range of naan breads and dips though and it does get our appitite going when we start of with these. The owner is lovely and if he knows you he’ll sit with you and have a little chat so it’s a very relaxed atmosphere. We will go again but unfortunatly Panom Thai is only a stones throw away and seems to win our hearts and stomachs everytime!
