Stumbled upon this soup-serving Asian hut-like café after an early evening pint session and ran away from the cold, right into it. It’s a bit of the poor man’s Itsu, with mini-sushi boxes, bento, and hot pot soups. Everything was average, medium quality, medium quantity. I thought the dumpling soup was flavorful and slightly cheaper than the larger chains such as Wasabi. I also had a bit of the tuna/salmon nigiri boxes as well which was fresh enough and also cheap for the area. The man behind the counter was over enthusiastic and lovely, trying to help as much as possible. The seating is pretty limited with a few 2 people tables in the back, set in a white room with a few posters. I think I would use this for a too-lazy-to-cook-tonight evening if I was passing by the area and wanted to grab a take away while avoiding the chainy queues. But it’s not really a café to lunch with a friend or to linger over a soup as there is just too little space and I would feel pressured to finish quickly if more than a few people came in.

I went there because I was pretty hungry that night. I tried the noodles with chicken, vegetables and sweet & sour sauce. And it was pretty tasty. With the small package I had enough though. The guy working there was also really nice. So if you are hungry and you don’t want to cook that day, as far as I know it was good price-quality wise.

Um. I came in here against better judgement because it was cold outside and not much was open past 6pm that wasn’t a pub. Next time, I’ll go to a pub. I bought a noodle soup just so I could sit inside away from the cold. Their prepared food looks marginal. Compared to Itsu, Abokado, or Wasabi, this is simply below that standard. At the very least, it should meet those big chains in quality, as its offerings are basically the same as places like that(Asian-style fast food). I feel badly writing this because the guy working there was really nice, but this restaurant just does not deserve that prime real estate near London Bridge.
