Hardly as good as it could be. Service was OK and relatively attentive but then we were only one of 4 tables with people in the whole place. They didn’t have our reservation, luckily not an issue in a largely empty restaurant. We shared a starter of white bait and calamari, that was very pleasant, however the main course of Château Braind was poor, the cut of meat was low quality and fatty, cheap chips which looked as if they came from a packet bought in Iceland and the Bearnaisse Sauce was not of a very high standard. Certainly not worth the circa £45 we paid for the main course. I wouldn’t return and I suppose the fact the place was empty on a Friday evening says it all.

Tad disappointing. Steaks were overpriced and very ordinary. Starter of Salmon salad was bland. Service was average. Wine was nice but at £28 a bottle was expensive. The seats are really close together and not much room under tables either.

HIghly disappointing. Having eaten in numerous Chez Gerrard I was delighted to hear that this restaurant would be moving to my local high street. However, along with being abnormally loud and echoey the staff are equally as incompetant. The waitress who served myself and my family had no knowledge of the wines that restaurant stocked and had an extrememly limited knowledge of any of the drinks that the bar sold. The food was average and all in all quite disappointing for the prices you are paying. I won’t be returning to this branch of Chez Gerrard and would suggest that someone from the chain pays this branch a visit!
