Popped in for a late dinner because it was close to the Prince William Hotel. Got two sodas, a sausage roll, a chicken kebab meal, and an apple cake. The owners were very nice and hospitable even though I was getting carry out. Everything was pretty good and flavourful and the price was low for a home-made meal in central London.

Only had a take-away sandwich from here. Good sandwich with fresh bread and salad at a reasonable price. The décor in the café is tired and uninviting although that would not matter for a quick snack. The location is very close indeed to Paddington station so this is a useful café for travellers.

I’ve been on a hot salt beef, gherkin and mustard kick recently. One might even say, I’ve been a little bit obsessed. So when setting up a lunch meeting recently, I remembered this deli that said it had world famous hot salt beef sandwiches. And away I went. The Chelsea Deli is a tiny red restaurant that makes use of it’s high ceilings by adding a small second bunked balcony floor above the tables and counter for more eats. You order, you pay, they bring you food. It’s cash only. Know this. I ordered the hot salt beef(are you even paying attention) and it was… less than world famous. Not terrible, the meat was quite good, long pickle slices in the middle and a nice array of mustard. However, it came out luke warm(blah) and on horrible soggy white bread. What! Where’s the pride, Chelsea Deli, put your world famous meat into a picture frame it deserves. Still, with a side of chips it was only about £5, so who can complain too much. Next time, I’ll go to the Tesco nearby and buy my own bread.

Walked into this place to grab a quick bite. I kept seeing random British curry commercials so I thought I would give it a try here as they had a sign for it. It was microwaved and just tasted like some chicken stew. I wouldn’t necessarily say the food tasted bad but I wouldn’t say I would come back again.
