Caveat: I can only speak to the take away option via Just Eat. In terms of the food though, this was spot on Italian. Neapolitan pizza was fantastic, kids could not get enough and I’m inclined to agree. My wife got a pasta dish with sausage and raved about it. For Chiswick, we found the prices to be quite reasonable too. I can’t speak to the in-restaurant experience but after trying a number of Italian/Pizza take aways we have now found a CLEAR favorite!

Food is nice –traditional italian. All the stars go towards food — however staff are a bit rude, service not all that great. If you wanted pizza for good value I’d go Franco Mancas just nearby and wait the queue. If you want your traditional pasta dishes then this place is nice, price is a little over but dont expect too much in service.

Went there during summer with my brother: the food was lovely, staff was efficient and this was very cheap! I remember paying 7 pounds for a real homemade Napolitana pizza! Great time there!

Just like any authentic Italian place should be; the service is crap but the food is amazing! Chiswick boasts quite a few options for Italian food(most are also run by Italians) but few are as consistently excellent across the whole range from more traditional Italian dishes, steak, seafood, pasta and pizza as Canta Napoli. Only downside is the restaurant is quite small and can get very full around dinner hour(7−9pm). They also do an amazing lunch deal.

Here’s an endorsement… it’s full of Italians Maybe it’s because they offer more than pizza and more than pasta and they do so with Italian style. The specials board is where to look and don’t be afraid to try something other than boring penne. My lobster and oyster-mushroom risotto was the bomb. A texture-heaven explosion of umami flavours. Who knew these ingredients would work together?

Highly recommend if you like pasta. Al dente, perfect and great sauces(3 times so far). Honestly, service was nothing to note but there was nothing negative either. Oh. place is not so child friendly either(I have 3 years old). All in all, Considering the quality of pasta, I still go back when I am hungry for good pasta.

‘Canta Napoli’ is smart by keeping things basic. There is a good range of Pasta dishes and mains but nothing too fancy. I came here specifically to check out the pizza and can report it is good. I had a ham &‘Canta Napoli’ is smart by keeping things basic. There is a good range of Pasta dishes and mains but nothing too fancy. I came here specifically to check out the pizza and can report it is good. I had a ham & mushroom that was authentic. The base was light and thin and not overly crispy. The passata sauce was very plain«tomatoey» one with not much indication of herbs. The ham was a decent one. I would have to say as far as Chiswick’s best Italian pizza ‘Canta Napoli’ is behind both ‘Franco Manca’ & ‘Firezza’ in my personal opinion due to the subtle flavourings but some folks might prefer the milder taste. Service has been mixed — sometimes friendly, in a relaxed way BUT a very unwelcoming effete man who seemed to be the manager seemed to be alright with the women but offhand with male customers. There was a special offer on at the time as the pizza only cost £5 instead of £8.90 which made it better value than it normally would be.

This place is still rocking. The pizzas are the best in the area I reckon. Excellent chewy crust, lovely fresh toppings. I had a chicken and leek one, the missus had the anchovy, olive and caper one. Delicious. We watched as the other mains came out of the open kitchen and they look very good indeed. But we never get past the pizza. Such a reasonable price too. Service is patchy. Surroundings fairly basic. Food excellent.

They do take Credit Cards now. Service was efficient, friendly and personal. This place is popular and packed at 9pm on a Monday night. Now keep in mind that the other reviews are dated 2008⁄09. We had pizza, pasta and meat balls. All of them were nice. Overall it’s your average Italian off the high street, competing with Zara, Strada and other names that offer great food(and you can get offers for). It was nice to try, but there really wasn’t any one thing that would specifically makes us go back.

As a picky Italian eater, I’m surprised by the other reviews here — the lasagna I had was fantastic. Sure the staff was a little slow, but that’s England for you, and they were nice and responsive. Our group of 6 was seated immediately, oh yeah, and it was CHEAP!

I am torn! One day I was rushing to the doctor, it was cold, I was tired and I hadn’t had any breakfast. So Canta Napoli, came to the rescue when they offered me a free cup of cappuccino as I rushed past by their restaurant. It really made my day. I am not a big coffee drinker but I surrendered to the cold and the hunger; it was frothy, milky and yet the coffee smelled and tasted great. I had to come back. I am not going to beat around the bush, their food was not at all like the experience of the coffee. This is why I am torn, they have really nice staff(friendly, helpful, efficient), and I am hoping their newness is still a deterrent on the quality of their food. I had the pizza Forte(£8) it was meant to be spicy, but it wasn’t. I have a high resilience for spicy food, but even my friend who cries on a drop of tabasco said she couldn’t feel it. The ingredients didn’t taste fresh and a space that sits 35 was only sitting 6, I can understand why. I really hope with time their food will improve, if not Canta Napoli ce non più!
